The strangeness continues at Harlow House in New Dunwich, Florida.  Will our intrepid investigators learn what is going on in the Everglades, or die trying?

On September 25, I ran the second session of the Call of Cthulhu scenario Rise of the Sleeper.  The role-playing journals of the game session can be found here:

Having gotten an inheritance of a house in a village in Florida, Nigel Bricker contacts some friends to travel to the place from Providence.  He is not pleased with what he finds.

On September 18, I continued the Call of Cthulhu game I've been running with Rise of the Sleeper.  The role-playing journals of the game session can be found here:

With the start of a new semester, we return to the 1920s Call of Cthulhu campaign, this time with The Strange Case of the Brown Mountain Lights from the monograph The Phantom of Wilson Creek by yours truly.  A visit to Brown Mountain Beach in the mountains of North Carolina sees a child missing.  Can our intrepid investigators help find the child?  What else will they find on Brown Mountain?

In April 1667, the pirate frigate Sweet Vengeance set sail in search of a supposed Spanish treasure ship leaving Porto Bello.  What they found instead was a lost island and a terrible ruined city.  Would the officers and crew of the ship survive seeking Forbidden Cargo?

On July 10, I ran an original pirate scenario Forbidden Cargo.

January 1603. Still investigating the seemingly unconnected deaths of playwright John Croft and a young girl visiting London from Amsterdam, the investigators have uncovered clues leading to a plot to murder William Shakespeare as well as connections between the two earlier deaths. Can they protect Shakespeare? How are the deaths connected with the fragments of a play by Christopher Marlowe called "The King in Yellowe" and Hastur? What is Dr. John Dee's connection? Who is Joseph Barker?

On June 5, I ran the conclusion of the scenario "The King of Shreds and Patches" with my group.

The roleplaying journal for the session is here:

In January, 1603, London is in the grip of a bitterly cold winter. The air is crisp with a heavy frost that is slow to thaw. Rumors abound that the plague is once more abroad in the city. Numerous houses have already been boarded up and people have again taken to the slaughter of stray dogs, wearing too-strong perfume, and applying arsenic under their armpits. The Pest House is filling and deaths are on the rise. Queen Elizabeth is unwell and wil probably die before the spring. Everyone is wary of others and foreigners certainly are carriers.  Stranger events are also on the rise. Can the investigators deal with a possible grave threat to London and the British crown?

On May 22, I started the Elizabethan scenario "The King of Shreds and Patches" with my regular group.  We didn't finish and should have a second session soon.

The roleplaying journal for the game is here:

I ran a Call of Cthulhu Game at NerdCon 2016 at Appalachian State University.  "Terror Over Tokyo 2: The Fog Village" took place during the Doolittle Raid on Tokyo in April 1942.  The B-25 Bomber that is part of the raid crashes in China after the bombing of Nagoya and are found by Chinese pygmies who are much worse than they originally seem.

I tried to download a file today but got this:

Response:   530 Login authentication failed
Error:   Critical error
Error:   Could not connect to server

Is this an error on my end or something to do with the recent issues?

It's been some months since the terrible ordeal in Wisconsin, but then artist Julian Bernard is contacted by a young legal clerk who wants his help in finding out why children are disappearing and then reappearing some days later in Aylesbury, Massachusetts.  He and several others set forth in late April, 1927, to find out what's going on.
