General Chaos / Re: Your Local Game Shop Shout-Outs.
« on: August 18, 2011, 09:51:02 PM »
I know this is supposed to be about shout outs, but the one in Carbondale, IL (Castle Perilous) is very crappy...very over priced, not very friendly, and when Magic events are held, he doesn't hand out the prizes given to him by Wizards of the Coast. If anyone  wants to open a competitive store, please feel free. We gamers down south want a thriving player community.

So...I kind of feel bad saying this, and I am not critiquing Cody's singing. But I just played the YouTube video of Cody's "total eclipse of the heart" and my dog just tried to bury his head into my living room floor.

I listened to the podcast again and I had my roommate listen to it, and now he has become very interested in the Monsters and Other Childish Things. Can any of you explain more about the mechanics of the game? Is there a PDF, book, website, etc..where I/ we could look or buy it?

Nevermind...I think one of you already posted a link.
And by the way, I am on that Lady GaGa 2.0 right now... you guys are ridiculous

Hey, is Monsters and Other Childish things the one of the games they played at Gen Con a few years back with the serpent? and what book are you talking about...I'm still new and I haven't gotten around stalking the site too much

So I listened to one of your actual play podcast today at work today. The one about the little orphan kids and Candlewick (you were at gen con i believe). I would just liek to say that it was very entertaining to listen to.

Well, since I have never played Hunter, I would like to see a variety of what the game has to offer.

And I am up for any game you would like to run.

Thanks, and if we play...i swear i learn fast

Count me in, but I have to ask a silly question. What does "street level" mean?

I's like to give it a one shot (hehe). I'm not as experienced yet, but I live with someone who is and they would be willing to take a backseat to help me through. I have also played Old World Mage before

The creator of this game just didn't power balance the classes right. He thought they were balanced. We were guinea pigs with our campaign and we soon realized this was an issue. We informed him of this unequal power balance, but he didn't seem to think there was an issue. So I dunno what to tell you except, it should be balanced
