Another Visitor! Stay awhile; stay forever!

It occurs to me that I've probably not introduced myself, either. Oh hai, guys! Chad here, Chados on the comments. 44; gaming since 1982; Trying to get my gaming group to play something other than D&D(the last couple iterations that everyone was tired of anyway).

Just ordered Transhuman, and does Akira count? ;) TETSUOOOOOO!!

Caleb, I like the ideas for that small area on the MN/WI border. The area is pretty heavily wooded, and I know (near here, and north of here)there are a lot of small, out of the way hunting shacks, state parks and forests that people could attempt to hide out.

Maybe something to do with the St. Croix river?

Or Michelle Bachman.  Maybe she leads the Woodbury Enclave...

Bachman? Sheesh, I'd take my chances out in the wild with the zombie hordes.

Hey Caleb, kind of a weird question, but... What is the area delineated by the lines from near Duluth, MN to River Falls, WI? I want to know because I actually live in that (relatively) small sliver of land- and it weirds me the fuck out. ;)

Currently backing the GUMSHOE-based Kickstarter for Timewatch, and recently ordered -and received- Caleb's No Security book. Looks awesome.

Nice! I won't be able to make it to the festival, but I can get something from it as a low-level supporter.

I just bought Fear Itself(and started buying WWI/II historical books, because of the ASG games), a game I'd not even considered until hearing actual play featuring the system.

Thanks for the suggestions, Henry. In this case, General and Specific are both fine, because I will probably be buying several books.

After listening to Iron Devil, I was surprised at just how little I knew about WWI. I wouldn't mind learning some more.

On a side note- listening to more of ASG's historical horror games has gotten me very interested in WWI & WWII. I would love to find some books that have great info on the wars, and the stuff surrounding them(like the real-life events heard in "The Iron Devil").

Would love to get some of the books that Glancy has been reading -or some book suggestions from anybody else- for excellent books on the World Wars.

Ah, that explains something. Thanks, Gorkamorka!

Still a bit slow/rough. On a related note, something seems to be up with Caleb's Hebanon games website as well. Not slow, but the website seems to be "missing".

A couple Eclipse Phase episode quotes from Tom:

"Hello, Me. Meet the real Me." - from the Megadeth song "Sweating Bullets", in reference to Feiyin(in a certain situation)

"Wash day tomorrow. Nothing clean, right?" - an early scene from the first Terminator movie. Sometimes accompanied by snapping of the fingers. (I quote this one all the time to my daughter and she hates and/or loves it)

Since my last post- Caleb's No Security PDFs, Lover in the Ice, and now [that I've listened through over half of the Eclipse Phase AP] I'm collecting/reading the Transmetropolitan TPB comics. Also, The Day After Ragnarok.

More Cthulhu books, Eclipse Phase core book, so far.
