Just to follow-up on Aquelarre:  you can get a 250 page PDF of Brevarium, which is essentially the "player's handbook" (and everything you really need to play) for just 5 bux.

Aquelarre, http://kck.st/1jRR2mj , is an excellent tabletop RPG that is now getting an English translation!  Think King Arthur + Spanish folklore and mythology + witchcraft + Call of Cthulhu + GORGEOUS stained-glass/tapestry art + the horrors of everyday medieval life = FUN.  Plus it has this guy, who you might encounter in the wild:

Full disclosure: my friend is the translator for this project, and I didn't want to post until it here until the project was well-funded.  And there are enough Call of Cthulhu and World of Darkness fans here (Stewart Wieck of White Wolf fame is the manager of this project) that might want to check it out.

Just demoed Delta Green at the FLGS using "Last Things Last."

They decided to stay at a motel rather than drive in a storm to the cabin.  One of the demo characters is an FBI agent, so of course I had them overhear a prostitute trying to escape a crackhead next door.  After killing the crackhead and threatening the motel manager, a high-speed chase through a severe thunderstorm, and Grand Theft Auto-style car switch in the boondocks of New Hampshire, they finally made it to the cabin, wherein they failed repeatedly to start a fire, only to succeed. . . for the vector to escape in body of a dead squirrel.

They loved it, of course.

Douglas Adams/Terry Pratchett-ish prose + Night Vale = fun.

So. .  the new American Horror Story, Hotel, might be a bit lacking in the narrative and characters so far. . .

. . . but boy oh boy do they absolutely NAIL the Hotel itself as a creepy, commanding character.  Highly recommended, at least the first episode.

My friend and game designer Les Smith just launched a Patreon for his latest writing project, The Pastime Machine, a novel written entirely in sonnets.  He's a talented poet (for which he has received many finely timed insults from me), and it is a good read so far.
