This past week I ran the second half of Think Before Asking for my players - two of whom are completely new to RPGs. By the time they found the Oracle, one player in a scurrier morph was anxious and refusing to come out of the top hat the octomorph decided he was carrying around for the scurrier to ride under. The player with an otomorph was riding the edge of crossing the trauma threshold - he really shouldn't have snapped those neotechnics' necks. Much like in the podcast, one of the players contacts the Oracle and asked how come the bomb(s) hadn't gone off yet. The stress of the answer slammed her over the trauma threshold. She picked echolalia.

There may have been some cackling on my part at this point.  ;D

The image of the wonderful "shark knifing" incident from RPPR illustrated.

(/Back)
"Warning: Listening to RPPR may cause side effects such as: Shark-fighting, Dog-punching, Horrible-monstering, and a sense of increasing all-encompassing cosmic dread. If you should experience any of these symptoms(or dog punching lasting longer than 4 combat rounds), please see your party doctor/psychiatrist." Ia. Ia.

Yes please!

I'd play.

Another aspect or attitude could be the conman attitude of everyone who comes on board to gamble is a 'mark', to be taken for all they can be, while other swarm members are their partners in crime / thieves code kind of thing.

Some skills, like Fray, Freerunning, Blades, etc. ought to still be available, beyond those three to five skills - sure, the characters might have an archaic style using them, but they would still work.

Hippy space whales develop a very accurate sun weather forecasting system. Hypercorp black ops incoming to steal it for hypercorp's personal use - maneuver rival corp's assets into place to be damaged by a solar flare maybe? Easier exploitation of exoplanet resources, if you can worry less about getting caught in a CME? Firewall sentinels dispatched to prevent theft and transmit to the argonauts.

Now waiting for how none of that would work  ;D

I'm a fan of one of the Call of Cthullu or Dirty World games as an introduction

Damn it, another podcast to catch up on - at least there's only 14 episodes...

It is in the Unspeakable Oath Actual Pay podcast that dog punching occurred.

It's already been done in the original DG - see '"The New Age" by John Tynes. Certain DG authors have basically admitted that the Enolsis Foundation is supposed to be the Church of Scientology.

Has the RPPR crew played that scenario and I missed it?

It was not the RRRP crew but The Unspeakable Oath podcast has some actual plays and one set of them was The New Age. The Unspeakable Oath is hosted by Ross, or at least he has some nebulous affiliation that man was not meant to know.
