Anybody else? As soon the new episode hits... should be today... let's see if we can't start a photoshop thread on its theme.

I'm willing to help anyone who wants to learn... except clowns.

The name's Alex from Montreal. I've been gaming for about 5-6 years. Long-time listener. I hate convoluted systems and prefer games with more roleplaying and cinematics than calculating.

My name is Cody and I have an alcohol problem. Wait, wrong forum.

I am a frequent player/contributer to RPPR.

You're practically a legend. Get your ass in Ross' Risus Law & Orcdom game!

One would think that just about any line beginning with "God told me..." would be a red flag.

I second that thought.

None the less, God, as an excuse, might come in handy at later times. I'll remember that.

I'm kinda confused between Shadowrun on the SNES and the one on the Genesis. Are you talking about the nearly free-roaming RPG where all I did is shoot people that would walk on the street and be stuck? I never got very far in that one.

General Chaos / Photoshop artists?
« on: March 18, 2009, 08:13:09 PM »
Hey,
I was wondering who here is pretty good with photoshop or other similar programs. Or even remotely capable for that matter. If there are others interested, it could be fun to have threads from time to time making funny photoshop images of things roleplaying-related or whatever like somethingawful does.

What are your thoughts?

1. Street of Rage 2 - Has some of the best music on the genesis. It's fun to beat the shit out of people with a friend.

2. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - Fuck you Tails.

3. General Chaos - great fun to be had scorching people.

4. Gunstar Heroes - Great coop fun, cool style, fun weapons.

5. Road Rash(s) - It aged terribly but it was SO much fun.

I got pretty far in Comix zone but dddaaaammmn. Seriously, it's so freaking impossibly difficult. Great game, the enemies took too many hits for my taste at the time though.

I never got past the first three pages of one of his books. Didn't seem interesting.

I should have listened to my intuition about one of Anne Rice's book too when I stumbled upon that steaming pile of erotic bisexual vampire bullshit.

Dagbert Stinkeye - Cyclops Prosecutor

Dagbert's mama always told him when he was wee one that he'd be doing great things like his daddy; randomly encountering politically correct multicultural party of adventurers and slaughtering them all. As an adult however, he was too mild-mannered by cyclops standards and couldn't straight throw an axe in someone's face without quickly turning apologetic. Choosing words over sticks and stones (to make someone cry), he became a scholar and studied in law, criminal psychology and criminal justice. He is now a prosecutor so he can still be a "warrior" in his own way. His daddy would be ashamed but he's dead. His best friend is his pet Bolly, a baby balhannoth.

Sounds like a good premise for a cool campaign.

Have you thought of actually having your player operate from a home base where they would come back in between assignments? Write down a couple of NPCs with a bit of info about them for the operator, the commanding officer and other operatives; some friendly, some pompous. If you make other operatives accomplish things in the background, new recruits join and veterans die, it really gives the feeling of a world that is alive.

Maybe even have a map of the place with facilities to train, exercise, research info and of course, have it get attacked at some point. ;)

Just a thought.

Oh, and maybe run the game in your town. That's always fun.

I'm interested in playing either the Assassin or Guardsman. but I'm not very familiar with the 40k universe, beside what I've learned from Dawn of War and an old sadistic game called Space Hulk. Damn that game was hard. I think one of my friend has the dark heresy book and I could borrow it from him, but do you have any specific text that could help me grasp it better?

Also, are Jacen and Lexicon still up for it?

If not you, Ross, it would be wicked if someone ran this as a PbP using the new forum "utilities"
