fukken lugubrious games I HATE THEM SO MUCH

hey if you're gonna shit all over lugubrious then i don't even know where this is gonna go

i mean at this point

where do we even draw the line

Caleb, you are legitimately good at running serious games that aren't off-putting and lugubrious. In the world of nerdgame, there is no higher praise.

Role Playing Public Radio Podcast / Re: Where do you listen to RPPR?

I usually listen to RPPR while trying to bang something out on the keyboard or guitar. It's pretty much the only time I can justify sitting in place and listening to people talk about cyberpunk Lady Gaga.

Why's Tom and Aaron gotta be such bitches to the new guy in the new Cthulhu game? Tom was trying to do his best Nelson Van Alden impression, and Aaron tried to lock him in the cell for literally no reason after he hadn't had a chance to do anything for like three hours.

I was kind of hoping he would strangle Aaron through the bars.

any part of this will do

This is basically the kind of thing I always envision my new RPG characters doing at some point.

Never really panned out in Call of Cthulhu.

I fully endorse the use of an ORE-based game because ORE kicks ass and is basically White Wolf for people who are cool and not mongs

97
How do you smell like cum over the interwebs?

Certain things can be inferred.

98
basically what I'm saying is that RPPR should do a Star Wars one-shot

not because I have any particular appreciation for Star Wars just that it would be cool to hear people play it who aren't fat jerks who shout 4chan memes and smell like cum

99
There's a One Roll Engine microgame for Star Wars that seems baller as shit

yeah it's unrelated but shane ivey is pretty cool

Ross Payton is the Wes Anderson of the roleplaying world. (POSSIBLY INFLAMMATORY)

I'm not very good at dungeon mastering or whatever but that campaign sounds like it would be a motherfucker to adjudicate.

has RPPR ever actually recorded a non-glancy call of cthulhu game?

seems kind of weird

i would legitimately enjoy a plain jane Masks of Nyarlathotep or Spawn of Azathoth game being played in its entirety by the RPPR crew

none of this delta green stuff

I like how Cody gibed about the game getting kind of gay when RJ was acting out talking to the lab tech, but like an hour later he kissed RJ's character straight-up mouthstyle.
