« on: April 14, 2009, 05:06:20 PM »
A listener emailed me about this gaming movie. The US trailer is here

and all I can say is that I will do whatever it takes to see this movie.

That looks freaking sweet as hell!
A gaming movie as top  grossing film in anywhere is awesome!

By top grossing movie in Iceland, it means 4 people went and saw it. OWNED FILMS FROM ICELAND! WHAT DO YOU HAVE NOW?!?

Does anybody else think that Nordic languages sound like people speak the same language that Sims do?

That aside, I must own this film. And if that means an Oceans Eleven hist in Iceland, than all the better.

Has anyone found are there any listed plans to market it in the US? None of the places I usually look for DVDs have it listed and both the Wiki and IMDb don't have alot of information on the film.

Addition-
Never mind, found it.
Turns out there's this website that has "everything Icelandic sent workwide".
http://nammi.is/astropia-p-719.html
The DVD is 2.406 ISK, like $19, shipping is either 2.000 ISK (around $15.60) for standard air or 5.950 ($46.60) if you want it in 1 to 3 days.

So, all told for the normal shipping you'd get the thing for about 35 bucks. I'm definitally putting in an order.

It's Region 2. But VLC cares not about region.

Your DVD drive does though or does VLC disable the firmware limitations?

It's always worked for me so far. Makes the Reigon 2 DVDs I have from the UK play without apparent difficulty.

...... wow people with irsh accents saying "the force is strong with this one" sound strange! I allways thought the guy in the Force Unleashed should have a russian accent. I like how he sounded in japanese in Soul Calibur, but hated his voice in Force Unleashed.
