Inception - Dread
« on: August 17, 2010, 11:26:05 AM »
There is a thread over on rpg.net where people are talking about the best games they played at gencon. One of these was a dread game based on Inception.
[spoiler]
They were talking during this game about playing with a different Jenga tower for each level of the dream state.
I am trying to work out how that would work best gameplay wise. Maybe instead of pulling just one block for each task, you could pull one block per level of dream state. So on the ice station level, you are pulling 3 blocks at a time. This could represent the increase in the power of the subconscious at the deeper levels.

Actually, it might work best the other way. Since time moves faster at the shallower levels, you should probably pull more blocks the closer to reality you are ( if you have multiple dream levels ).  Maybe a block for each level below you.
