Gencon Events this year...
« on: April 20, 2009, 11:49:25 PM »
Hey I was just wondering if anyone else had any problems with the new Rubi system for signing up for events for Gencon this year.  the events just went active yesterday and i was wondering if anyone else didn't get their games yet like me.  The website has a problem taking credit card orders.

Another question, what is everyone looking forward to in Gencon this year?  Are people going to try and make it out to Indy.  I am signed up and looking forward to it (as long as I get the stupid events I want)

Ross, are you running anything this year?  ???  Any Monsters and other childish things?  Or how about a New world D&D game?  That would be awesome.

Going to run some games for Arc Dreams Publishing so I will definitely run some Monsters games. Don't know the details yet though.

I can run some 'unofficial' New World games if you want or something else entirely! I plan to sleep very little during Gencon.

keep in contact with me about either game.  I would be very interested.  My girlfriend and I really want to try playing Monsters and other childish things.  Let me know some details when you know.

Never been to GenCon, only heard about it for the first time like four years ago and I've wanted to do ever since.

But I don't have the funds for non-local cons so I'm toughing it out until next year. Unless I get a wind fall or something, cus then I'd be there.

Just confirmed with Adam Scott Glancy that we will be recording 2 new playtests of different WW1 call of cthulhu games for Gencon.

Show off your deep connections in the RPG world, eh Ross? Very cool. I have to say, I haven't seen alot of CoC scenarios but the level of detail in these WW1 games seems truly amazing, both Dig for Victory and the infamous airship game.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

You just made my week.

I loved Dig to Victory so much, I sent that guy a slobbery fanboy email.
(No, I don't have any shame left, why might you ask?)
I didn't come here to win. I came to make friends.

Oh, no, of course not.  UPS.

I wonder why he didn't write back.

Man i wish i had a way to get to gencon.... Hopefully next year i will be able to go.
On a slightly related note, a couple years ago, the summer that i moved to Utah, I got a free ticket to Gencon SoCal from AEG since i used to live near Anaheim(sp?). I was soo pissed when my parents refused to take the trip there and so i could finally go to a con. Story of my life....
