I gave a shout out to the Battlestar Galatica board game a while back and this game just seems to be a scaled down version with a more neutral flavor.

Also I know I already recommended this one a back in January on the Vidja game thread I wanna throw out there that Knights of Pen and Paper got a huge update and is now called the +1 Edition. It's offered on Steam and on iOS/Android.

So here's another shoutout for those that haven't given it a shot yet.

Just read the free preview for this book.  I can describe all of the ways it is amazing, but here's a couple samples.

(Images linked because they're actually kinda huge)

Also an example of the caliber of illustrations within the preview

I might have read the entire book. The initial charm kinda wears off after the preview ends and it becomes just the worst and longest fan fiction. I was still thoroughly entertained by it as it never ran out of absolutely bonkers bullshit and progressively more insane deus ex machina to keep spouting over the course of 400 pages.

Edit: I am also pretty sure there is an unintentional message about ethnic cleansing in this book. All of the heroes are good because of how they were made and all of the villains are evil for the same reason. In the course of this book, the characters murder the entire race of villains for no particular reason than "because they're evil," even though the main character is a sadist who is literally bloodthirsty and commits atrocities that the villains don't.

Welcome to Night Vale, audio drama podcast done in the style of a local news radio broadcast in the bizarre (and hilariously terrifying) desert community of Night Vale. I've been hearing a lot about this on Tumblr lately, so I decided to give it a try. Quality weirdness lies within. I guarantee within the first two minutes you'll either hate it or be completely hooked.

The Pixar Theory: http://jonnegroni.com/2013/07/11/the-pixar-theory/

The basic premise is that all Pixar movies are connected; they take place in the same universe but at different points in time.

So I randomly typed into google "Super Mario Bros. Sequel" (No really, I was thinking about how I could remember shots or scene of princess Daisy with a gun and in battle with Yoshi injured and wanted to see if there had ever been plans for a sequel... yeah I was bored) and It turns out that some writers of that film, the original, have banded together with an artist and decided to make a series of online comics that will be free that chronicles a sequel to the plot of the original film! I was in shock but you know, I didn't hate the original movie and the cover and style of the comic looks pretty good. I'm a fan thus far and I hope it does well:

As I've been using this podcast to be the background while playing Saints Row IV, figure I may as well recommend it here since theres people here who like MST3k/Rifftrax.

How Did This Get Made - http://www.earwolf.com/show/how-did-this-get-made/

Explore the world of crappy movies, a good panel discussions on stupid and some not quite as stupid movies. They do a show on Birdemic and talk to the girl who played Natalie, Greg Sestero ("the other guy from The Room") talks about The Room, Vanilla Ice talks to them about Cool as Ice, Patton Oswalt even stops by with the director of Punisher: Warzone.

That said, its not an interview show, most of their guests have nothing to do with the movies and they just talk shit about them, try to get to the bottom of plot holes, gush about the insanity of them, etc. The hosts IMO have really good chemistry, and it really comes through that they love crappy movies.

They've watched Over the Top, Street Fighter, Leprechaun in the The Hood, Old Dogs, etc. Really good for fans of crappy movies.

----
edit - weird, kinda thought I heard about that on here (memory is shit), and searched the forums, but didn't look at the shout outs on the podcast until after I posted and thought about it, oh well. In my defense, I at least heard about it before it was on RPPR, lol. Also, just saw that episode was only partially listened to in iTunes, don't think I even got around to shout outs, was paused in the middle of Toms letter.

If you like Aaron Diaz and his comic Dresden Codak (http://dresdencodak.com/), he is beginning a comic novel called Star Wars 1999 (http://starwars1999.tumblr.com/) in which he reimagines the Star Wars prequels from scratch.
