The Cyberpunk Apocalypse engine  game The Sprawl is finally out! I'm glad to have a game that lets me make my own world.

Drivethru rpg. I did say Apocalypse engine? It's late and I'm not the clearest communicator at the best of times. I've been waiting for a ttrpg that didn't come with so much baggage so I can make up my own corps and stuff or trawl through decades of metaplot.

I think Cthulhu is looking for something real and long term. Hastur is more of the mythos entity with benifits type.

I just watched this via Amazon rental. I thought it was pretty good but I am sucker for movies set in the artic.

At the True/False documentary film festival in Columbia MO today, I saw a doc called Tickled. It begins as a New Zealand journalist's exploration of the funny world of "competitive endurance tickling" and evolve into something a bit more...well, let's say "A Dirty World"-esque, or possibly "Unknown Armies" material. It ended up being not so much about the tickle fetish community, but more about one very rich guy with a destroying-people's-lives-with-blackmail fetish.

The filmmaker was on hand for Q&A. Yesterday he got served with legal papers on the sidewalk outside the theater. Also the police threw two people out of the screening for videotaping it, possibly private investigators.

At Sundance it got bought by HBO and Magnolia Pictures, so I suspect it will be widely available soon.

There's one and a half days left, but you can get what appears to be a fairly huge set of Pathfinder PDFs and a starter set for what seems to be a good price on Humble Bundle. I've never played and RPPR hasn't really talked about it, but that's so many books it seems worth a shot, plus the beginner box has some physical books and a reusable grid map (which means it's perfect for Caleb!) There's also a Pathfinder comic bundle that has some physical merch in the form of minis.

The original Black Hand book, The Black Hand: A Guide to the Tal'Mahe'Ra (JESUS, that's how it's spelt?! Dammit, White Wolf...) is the #1 Hottest Title at DriveThru RPG as of this posting. I presume that means it's the highest selling book at the moment. You guys... you guys aren't buying the book, right?

Thirteen authors and ten artists. No wonder these books are as crazy as you guys say they are.

(... I will admit, the cover does look badass. A werewolf guarding a guy in a business suit as he shakes his finger at Nosferatu? I understand why people are interested...)
