It's a pretty impressive wrap up. Ross sounds drunk on violence and high on slaughter by the end of it. And synthetic battle coke. Cyber synthetic battle coke.
Best: Playing Warhammer 40K RPG battles. They all blur together a little in my head but it's always a storm of flying bullets, fire, plasma, blood, and body parts. Always brutal, always rewarding. My stand out favorite was a Space Marine game I was running. The players are surprised attacked by a Tau heavy transport ship, seperated from their landspeeder by the troops and Crisis Suit the ship is dropping. The Librarian ran into the woods and doubled around to get to the speeder while the Assault Marine and Techmarine just fucking charged the entire company of soldiers.
Techmarine starts firing rockets everywhere and the Assault Marine jump packs into the open drop bay, punches his way into the main halls of the ship and goes rampaging through the thing heading for the cockpit. By this time the Librarian is at the speeder and starts doing straifing runs using his Psyker powers, shooting lightning from his eyes while the Techmarine tries to fight the Crisis Suit with his knife.
Finally the Assault Marine breaks into the cockpit, slaughters the crew, kicks the controls, sending the ship straight for the ground, and jump packs out of the windows, forgetting that he's now pointing towards the ground. The assault marine explodes out of the ship, slams into the ground, digging a trench as he does so, screaming his chapter's name at the top of his lungs, and the troop transport crashes behind him, cutting the Crisis Suit off from the troops. Using the explosion and crash as a distraction the Librarian retrieved the Techmarine and the Assault marine so they all rode off into the sunset together.
We laughed so much we fell out of our chairs. My brother started coughing and laughing at the sametime and we from red to purple trying to find lung space to breath in.
Worst: My worst isn't actually that bad, just dull. Got stuck in this homebrewed alternative D&D setting that was really confusing and full of conflicting ideals we knew where shoved on it by the creator. The entire game was extremely boring, slow, and without drama.
