Troll Hunter
« on: December 12, 2011, 06:23:25 PM »
Found a pretty decent movie on NetFlix the other day: Troll Hunter.

It's a Norwegian found footage movie about a newbie college film team basically stalking this guy they think is a bear poacher. Well turns out, spoilers, he isn't after bears, he's after trolls (which are real).

I like it alot. It's a decent monster movie and if your not living in Norway then it's got some excellent scenary. It's got a nice mix of science explaination and straight up supernatural elements to make it interesting. The visual effects aren't ground breaking, they do their job. I felt real tension a few times.

Check it out if you like monster movies that aren't all about gore.

A bud and I watched the film and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I love these found footage horror and monster films regardless but it was a first time for my friend. Our favorite line by far is when Hans shows up on camera and after looking very serious at the group shout...
"TROLL!" And then runs off again.

It was in my Netflix queue for a while, finally got a round to watching it a few weeks ago.  I was pleasantly surprised, worth a watch at least once.

I as well recently watched this movie with my girlfriend. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
I particularly liked how in depth it was about the different types of trolls.
I can't think of anything worth putting here, so I decided not to have anything of consequence.

Seconding Rare Exports. Slow as hell to start, my friend was ready to kick us out of his house until certain events occurred, and we all decided it was one of the best films we had seen in years.
