At least he has realistic goals this time.

Indeed.
I will likely throw in $15 or $25 near the end, just to experience the madness.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1675907842/pathfinder-online-a-fantasy-sandbox-mmo

So I don't play MMOs because why would I spend a bunch of money per month to do dungeon crawls online when I can buy borrow or steal dungeon crawl games to just play on my own computer? And I don't play Pathfinder. But I'm backing this Kickstarter because the idea is for it to be different. It's a sandbox, single server with PVP, so the PVP people and the PVE people have to learn to get along, and apparently what most of the dungeon crawl-type stuff will be about is clearing out monsters to take their land and control resources and create settlements, with warring factions and occasional (ie, if the user base gets too large) discovery of new areas of land to colonize (New World, anyone?)

If anyone else gets in on it, come and kill me. It will be easy, I am a n00b.

I am intrigued by Pathfinder Online but I think they might have bitten off a little more than they can chew.

$1,000,000 goal is pretty ambitious.
42.7% of all statistics are made up on the spot.

They'd probably have made it already if they didn't do that MMO technology demo Kickstarter.

Double dipping is not exactly the best way to ingratiate yourself, to be sure. I'm not going to contribute to this specifically because of that.

Here's a new one:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1384731379/h-p-lovecrafts-dagon-an-animated-adaptation
Like the title says, some folks want to do a full animated version of the Lovecraft story 'Dagon'. It looks interesting, though I'm setting it to 'remember' and not backing yet because I want to see a bit more before I put down money.
As of right now, it's early in the process but looks unlikely to fund.

Also pissed that I missed seeing this: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/181123828/aero-3d-bird-flight-game-with-bill-nye-and-gamedes
Project was evidently doomed and there has been no follow-up, but a game where Bill Nye teaches you how a bird flies? Sounds cool to me.

The FB updates for World of Synnibarr are always so interesting...

"Had my only printed copy of Synnibarr: Invicta stolen yesterday at the. Coffee house...turned my back for a moment and it was. gone.!!

Gerrrr...failed my sight deed! that's $50 down the drain.

The upside...I had just finished doing all of my edits...

Fortunatly I keep multiplebackups. Both on line and in a protable drive. even if someone takes my laptop we will not lose Synnibarr to some reposssesion specialist...

Here's to your work being popular enough to steal!"

I might understand what this is:

I might not either. I do like the idea of the cocktail list.

The dude in the video give me a bit of a creepy vibe but the map looks interesting if you have any connection to Seattle. Could be a fun prop for any number of games.

Holy crap, I still lurk these boards!

...It's Bill. Y'know, occasional RPPR guy, arguer with Mike?

Anyway, this: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pixelscopic/delvers-drop

Springfield-based game designers. The art guy/partner is a good friend of mine. I've played a super-early version of the game, and it's pretty cool. If you've sunk any hours into The Binding of Isaac, you'd like it. Give them money!
