Lessons Learned at RPPR

So, we all like the show, or we wouldn't be clogging the forums with our random advise/stories, am I right?

But what have we really learned from Ross, Tom, and the freakish Carebear Cousins who form the RPPR cast? Have we actually used anything they've tried to teach us?

I've been trying to run a League of Extraordinary Gentleman game for months with no luck getting players who'll get off their lazy asses and try.

Yeah thanks to RPPR i went and dropped the dough for the CoC core book. But strangely my players seem interested in horror gaming (who knew?). I'm going to test out some horror gaming "101 bullshit" and report back later.

things i have used are, frog snach, frog jesus dried out for your sins. i cant waite for my current dnd game to be over and ill dm the new world. i have played the dwarfs game that ross recomended and enjoyed it.

I have invested hundreds of dollars in new RPG books because of Ross and Tom. I now own at least one book of the following system; Call of Cthulhu, GURPS, Mutants and Masterminds, Fear itself/Book of Unremitting Horror, Star Wars Saga, and D&D4E. also I've taken a few of his "actual plays" and used them as guidelines letting my players run through them. I've done the 1940 yakuza, fear itself(blood corpse one), and his league of extraordinary gentlemen.

that and I learned what "tummy sticks" is. kinda wish I hadn't, but now I can't unlearn it..... thanks Cody.

pretty good, everything went almost exactly like the stray dog game, except there was no beheading in mine. that and they blew most of their money gambling.

I learned that Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition can be fun, number stations are creepy, and I also bought Call of Cthulhu.

1) Anal rape with a gun, though amusing to spring on your GM, is not always an effective way to protest how bad the game sucks.

2) Fuck Clowns. Fuck those guys.

3) All your awesomeness are belong to Martin Van Buren

4) The Book of Unremitting Horror was the best purchase I've ever bought in a long time. I would not have known about it if it wasn't for RPPR. Therefore, listen to their shoutouts (except The Burrowers, which I thought sucked ass.)

5)...er...Ross is apparently a teacher and Tom is a diabetic who delivers stuff. And Cody is married. Sorry ladies!(...and...erm...gay men...)
