It's kind of depressing to think how screwed all of those people would have been if there actually was an atomic strike...

Its the only thing they could do, and still could do. its still holds today, in the army they train you if your in an open field and a bomb goes off dive head first towrds it, so your helemt will take the better part of the burning. closer to the ground heat rises. sure if your right at the middle of the bomb your toast, but youll be toast no matter what you do there. the duck and cover thing will help from about a mile out or so.

I don't really know why I like this scene so much.  It really inspires me to run an RPG with A-Team/Mission: Impossible-esque escapades...

"If you're strong enough to wield the greatsword, it's an advantage in any fight."

Do people regularly fight with reproduction medieval weapons?

Don't forget, it doubles as a chin up bar.

I always feel I'm watching some sort of pig snuff film when these cold steel guys show up in their dungeons with lots of rope and blades.

(I'd also reccomend the Gurkha Kukri where he says it has more stopping power than a magnum because the hole he made with his revolver is small than the cut)

My favorite for sheer WTF is the balloon.

I believe that your reproduction sword can pop a balloon. I don't need it demonstrated to me.
My new goal in life is to play D&D with Judi Dench

What makes this better was that it had distance measurements on the floor.  So not only did they feel the need to show it could pop a balloon, but it could pop a balloon from 20 feet (given a few steps forward)!
