Gumshoe games
« on: March 12, 2010, 09:00:21 PM »
I got an email from RPGNow and they have the GUMSHOE games ( Esoterrorists, Fear Itself, Trail Of Cthulhu and Mutant City Blues ) on sale for 15% off.  I don't own any of these ( but will in a couple of minutes ) and have only heard them played on RPPR, so I can't recommend them or anything.  Just passing on the news of the sale prices.

I really need to stop buying games I never get a chance to play though ...

Cool. I only have the Trail of Cthulhu game at the moment. I want to get the core game and the Book of Unrementing Horror.

Nice. I have Fear and Book of UnR Horror which I like. I will probably get ToC and a scenario tomorrow. It's much easier than learning CoC and getting my group to learn a new system.

But CoC's BRP is one of the easiest systems to learn.

It doesn't usually matter much to them. They really like to customize their characters and optimize stuff.

But CoC's BRP is one of the easiest systems to learn.

That's why I loved playing it with my normal group. Bunch of knobs who never want to learn new systems. Basic Roleplaying is about as easy as you can get while actually having a skill system.

Doesn't Mutant City Blues run off of Gumshoe?
