Hail Cody.

Sadly my group doesn't have a cody, but we've got one guy that does an amazing columbo impersonation, so thats kind of funny.

Hopefully he frequently says "just one more thing, Mr. Sanchez." This is the most common line from Columbo.

Oh he did the whole thing talking about his wife, chomping on a cigar as he talked, one more thing, he had it down pat.

That's my favorite part.

One of my players is going to try and play Colombo in an Esoterrorists game I've got coming up.

I guess I'm kind of the "Cody" of my group. Right now we're playing an X-men universe mutants and masterminds game, and my character is an ESL (English as a second language) mutant from Denmark who completely loses his grasp with the English language when he gets excited. So when things are calm, he has the time to pick the right words for the job. However...

(When the character "Pixie" was capture by Mephisto and laid on a slab for human sacrifice, Orn ran in, pointed his finger at Mephisto and...)
"YOU PUT HER DOWN RIGHT NOW".

(Or when Juggernaut said "Don't write checks your body can't cash")
"You shut your mouth or I will pay your face".

Thanos: "I am going to sacrifice the Earth to gain the love of Death"
Me: (slowly raise eyebrow) "Destroy the Earth? That would be...illogical"
Vortex: "Yes...that...would be...highly...illogical."
Thanos: "Your Star Trek references bore me."

Oh it's good times, man. We're playing again on Saturday.
Thanos: "I am going to sacrifice the Earth to gain the love of Death"
Me: (slowly raise eyebrow) "Destroy the Earth? That would be...illogical"
Vortex: "Yes...that...would be...highly...illogical."
Thanos: "Your Star Trek references bore me."

So, i like cody because before he got to know me he was a huuuuge dick to me.

I forgot, because cody and i are like toats mcgoats secret lovers now, but listening to these old AP's has reminded me how it was not always the case.

Unfortunately, I had a higher calling . . . playing Monsters and Other Childish Things with Ross, Tom, Aaron, and a very special guest player (you'll find out soooooon).

I thought it looked amazing though from all the trailers I've seen. I'm hoping to catch a repeat some time soon. Seriously, it looks beautiful.

My initial problem with RJ was that he and I served essentially the same function within the group - pop culturally conscious funny guys who make references to things. We both wanted to be the center of attention and we both felt as if there is only room for one star of the show, so there was animosity.

Then, we fell in love and realized that the show would be much more beautiful if it was the Cody and RJ show (or the RJ and Cody show - we don't really care who is on the marquee first because we are equals).

It takes me awhile to get people sometimes and eventually, I "got" RJ and all was well.
