It's hard to screw it up, it's a storytelling based system so there aren't rules to break. If I think what your doing doesn't make sense or is dumb than you get less dice. No whippings, no curses, just less dice.

It has been said that when a butterfly flap his wings, Kazuki Dainishi destroys a town. Then again, people believe the world to be flat or what-not. Kazuki leads a group of brigands that pillages and burns every village that stands in his way. When he comes upon a village in his travel, his group quickly neutralize the militias and prevent any organized defense. He then calls out for the strongest warrior in the town to come forward to defeat him in a duel as the only way to save his people. Once the man is killed in front of everyone, the brigands loot and burn the place at their leisure.

Kazuki Dainishi is a cruel, fearsome and relentless warrior. He can be the most powerful ally as he could be the most dangerous enemy.

I'm hoping to get at least three. I'd really just like to get started. If nobody else joins up by tommorrow I'm gonna start playing and we can gather more moss while the stone rolls. Cool?

Oh btw, Ryu Shaos's kusarigama doesn't have a kama at the end, it's a giant Scythe with the body being slightly curved and the blade is shaped like a large fang.  Just in case you wondered.

I'll give it a shot.

Boshi Jozu is a gambler and a drunk. After having lost his business to pay off the gambling house in his hometown, Jozu wandered off in search of what he called 'more favorable spirits' in the east. He has since floated from town to town, begging for money when he can and then losing it immediately on sake, dice and women. The hard life spent in the company of bandits has taught him the necessity of learning to fight, he's no swordsman though and was lucky that a wandering priest taught him how to use a tonfa and nunchaku without braining himself. Unlike other down and out gamblers he refuses to resort to thievery, but he has on occasion taken money from wealthy families and magistrates to act for them as spy and courier of very 'sensitive' information (such as a samurai's love letters to his brother's wife) with the understanding being his position as a wastrel makes it easy to denounce him should he be caught.

You know, if he changed the order to "woman, dice, sake" he might have better luck. Drunk gambling followed by picking up cheap women seems less than ideal.

Welcome to the fold. I'm starting the game in a new thread.

Okay, the thread is up. Farther requests to join can be posted here at any time.

Your starting in a fictional settlement called South Curve. Here's a map for reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Regions_and_Prefectures_of_Japan.svg

South Curve is located low on the penincila of Chiba, across the bay from Tokyo, and never will you find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

I think we're going to need more than that just to get started. (I'm referring to the main thread.)

Fair enough, I can give you more modivation. I'll make some additions, perhaps give you a direction to go in.

Okay, I've added more to it but I've still kept it fairly vague and open. Your character's modivations are their own to determine but I've at least forced you into the town proper.

Wow, I've got... nothing.

C'mon Dragonshaos, go to a tavern or something, start the story. Hehe.
