Boondock saints is the kind of movie that seems awesome the first time you see it but after a while you realize it isn't nearly as good as thought it was. Somehow that first time in your dorm room with your buds isn't as magical. Like seeing the teenage mutant ninja turtles at a concert and seeing the zipper on their costumes.

I admit I thought it was badass when I first saw it but when I see it now, I just wince.

However, a great movie did come out of it. Only it's called Overnight and it's a documentary about the one hit wonder director Troy Duffy.

Overnight is an incredible drama about the rise and fall of an alcoholic egomaniac who tried to become the top dog of Hollywood and lost everything.

I own Boondock Saints and still enjoy it, but I've seen some much better action films.

Smokin' Aces is probably my favorite pure action film.

As far as action dramas (which is probably where I would say Boondock Saints more appropriately falls), you really can't go wrong with Heat, A Good Night to Die, and Eastern Promises.

Ug I know the nerve....I was always a fan of smoking aces that was a good one and the departed, and four brothers, those were good movies


I watched boondock saits last night and I enjoyed it all the same. but come on Willem Dafoe acting like a fag....priceless
