Smartphones

Thoughts?  Recommendations?  I'm sort of looking at the Galaxy S4, and am reluctant to go iPhone (don't care much for the OS on it), but am interested in what people have to say, especially if you own a phone that you would recommend positively or negatively and talked about the pros and cons.  Any thoughts are appreciated....

S4 is a solid phone. Another good one would be the HTC One but this all depends on carrier. Which one do you have? It does narrow the discussion a bit.

I got a Galaxy S4 a few weeks after it came out. I really like it.

It's fast, has some cool features and a big screen.

My wife has a Note II and that thing is huge but I feel like it responds slower than my phone. That might just be me imagining it.

The HTC One is a solid phone and it was the primary competitor in my mind when I was shopping around to upgrade my EVO.

Either way you'll likely be happy. Oh and the S4 you can add additional storage and take the battery out, I believe the HTC doesn't allow for that.

I bought a Galaxy S2 two years ago and I love it. I'm giving it another year or two before I upgrade, but the next Samsung Galaxy series will definitely be my first pick.

Oh, herp derp.  Verizon, so the HTC isn't an option.  Basically the big rough categories looked like Samsung Galaxy line (and spinoffs), iPhones, Windows phone (and spinoffs), Motorola Droids (and spinoffs), and LG phones (which I know nothing and have heard nothing about)....

I have a friend that swears by the Windows phone but I would reccomend the S4 over any of the options presented.

Thanks for the input.  Went with the S4 and have already liked it a lot more than the iPhones I've messed with....
