Raillery: the funny underbelly of computer games
I like the idea of getting the precon characters and GM notes after the AP.I wouldn't be in the running for a 250$ donation for the long run, let alone each month. But yeah a skype or hangouts game would be a great reward. I played on Hangouts and Skype and both worked. Skype is more open because it does not force someone into a social network but Hangouts has the better tools.
You might do a lottery with everyone over x donation level gets entered into a chance for the Skype game. Solves the game theory problem and stops people from just buying there way on at the last minute. Of course then you need to run a lottery and deal with the fallout but it does solve some of the problems. My wife tells me I have a face for radio so I think this skill translates to skype. Not that I have done this but people seem to think Google Hangouts work better than skype games.
I also support the idea of a limited number of high-level backer rewards permitting backers to pick a game to be played by the crew.

I think that it might be a bad move as the RPPR crew might end up having to play a game they find boring. I think that would end up rubbing everyone the wrong way. Both RPPR and the listeners.
