Any nearby Fridays that you are open? I don't know how much wiggle room we have.

The 30th is open, but if the 23rd works best for everyone else don't worry about me, maybe I can make the 4th session.

Thanks though

We'll probably stick with the 23rd if that is everyone's best day.

Alright, just long of one week to the next round.

I want everybody to run their machine through a Skype test to make sure everything works.

Neil, I'll get online this week (or weekend) and look for you so we can try some recording tests to make sure we're getting good quality from the mikes, especially mine because (no offense to everybody else but) my voice is the most important to the game. You know, over all.

At game we'll do introductions of new players, have Q&A on any details, make final acquisitions, and then let the senior staff make the adventure choices for the night.

So, to give you guys a preview, I'll be preparing two (or three) possible avenues of adventure BUT all of them have been prepared to feature extensive ship to ship combat elements. The exact nature of this combat will depend on the path you choose but all of them will involve naval encounters.

With that in mind, I would encourage all of you to consider your role in a ship-to-ship encounter. Without a PC playing Dom, his crazy chair hopping will be left to me while you call make your choices. Take the time to think about what you will do when the marcobatteries open up.

Also consider unconventional weaponry. The core manual only has batteries and lances. Fighters, torpedos, high yield nuclear strikes, chaff, and all manner of other well known aspects of heavily armored combat are left without official rules. Ergo, I'm allowing alot of latitude for both you, the PCs, and for the NPCs you will be facing.

Consider your choices carefully, weight the options, and then damn the Defiant!

The test went well. All systems go.

About all I can do in a ship to ship battle is get us to the location and check senors with scrutiny, but that's fine.

I'll be on tomorrow as much as possible and maybe some tonight to test the Skype situation. We recently started just recording into my mic from the laptop speakers versus the SoundTap solution. We should see what each one is like.
