Graphics Artist Needed
« on: January 31, 2010, 06:47:54 PM »
So my wife and I are having a child, which is pretty scary. But I intend on making it scarier. I have an "awesome" idea of doing a series of books for children based on classic works of literature such as Machiavelli's The Prince, Hobbes' Leviathan, Sun Tzu's The Art of War, etc. Now while I'm willing to adapt the texts and come up with graphic descriptions, I need someone to actually illustrate the thing. Who's in? Maze you up for this one?

I'm not much of an illustrator really, ask ArtfulShrapnel

Ross suggested the same thing.

I could certainly give it a try. I've not done a children's book before, but I do love Machiavelli. :)

I'd probably have to charge for something as big as a children's book though. Freelance illustrating is my job as well as a fun hobby.

I already figured on you having to charge something. I realize freelancers need to eat.  8)

It'll be a few weeks before I can think about sitting down and outlining the project. I'm in the middle of writing my dissertation proposal, which is akin to slamming your head repeatedly  into a wall.
