Damn that's metal.
Now I want to do that really badly.
Another idea I had was to do a TITAN manipulated character who's proficiency adapts based on music, who's been weaponized by Firewall as a one-man Erasure Squad or by Oversight/that one conspiracy group that Manjappa worked for [the name escapes me]. Basically looks, thinks, comes up on scans as a random schlub, and then someone starts playing music of a certain type and they turn into Christian Bale from equilibrium
A little silly, I admit, but it's still something I'd like to play with at some point

Project OZMA

I like your idea. I just watched ep 1 of Jessica Jones which has the creepiest mind control.
Throw in some synesthesia to taste.

Real life character concept.  Nuns posing as prostitutes to save sex slaves.

Interesting article from the New York Times. I'd never even heard of Red Mercury, even crazier that it doesn't exist and there are people looking for it. I like the idea of a cthulhu game where you find it. Or a general horror game where hoaxes that people believe in too feverishly become real and terrifying

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/11/22/magazine/the-doomsday-scam.html?_r=0

Wiki link if you want that, too
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_mercury

The Essoterrorists, one of the early games using the GUMSHOE system, uses that very concept. Bad guys try to make imaginary horrors become real, so that entities from the Outer Dark can invade our world through the power of directed human belief.

Which they took from White Wolf's Mage, specifically the Nephandi (satanic-Lovecraftian cultist faction).

Which was ripped off from somewhere else I don't know of.

You know, I'd never quite thought of that connection between The Esoterrorists and Mage before, but now that you mention it I see exactly what you mean. I suppose you could say that in Mage everybody is an Esoterrorist, both good guys and bad guys (unless you're playing a Technocracy campaign, and even then you sorta still are).

Watched the music video of "Sail" by AWOLNATION (2011)

! No longer available

Realized the video's images would be perfect for a Delta Green or alien abduction game.

! No longer available

This music video is perfect for a steampunk game.

Another one based on parasites just occurred to me. An Apple of Knowledge hack that makes the non-fit infected more attracted to and interested in people with high intelligence and status, while making those infected obsessed with Titans and wanting to go to active Titan sites/quarantine zones and have their behavior and risk evaluation shifted. So you have mostly asymptomatic carriers and the targets, the people with high mental abilities and in positions of power basically offer themselves up on a platter for forced uploading.

This reminds me on a TITAN nanovirus I came up with, formally referred to as Lethe but nicknamed Brain Drain. It worked on the principle of brain fingerprinting (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brain_fingerprinting) which, to grossly oversimplify, allows you to tell what someone does or doesn't know by seeing if their brain gives the "nope, no need to remember this stuff; we already know it" signal when it receives certain data. So, if only the murderer would recognise the murder weapon, you could literally look at a suspect's brain and go "he knows that weapon; therefore he's the murderer". (Well, again over-simplifying - it doesn't know WHY the information is in the brain, just that it is there. So a detective would recognise the murder weapon and wouldn't be the murderer. But you get the point.)

How this translated to Lethe/Brain Drain was a way the TITANs subverted the R&D efforts against them. Essentially it was a culling of the most intelligent and technically training egos, especially in the field of nanotechnology. It jacked into your nervous system, tapped into your sensory feeds and waited. It still exists in 10 AF because of this very long latency period; it's possible for someone infected to never turn symptomatic. It triggered when the host was processing and understanding advanced technical data, eroding the walls of blood vessels in the brain to cause a cerebral haemorrhage. In true Lovecraftian (and Calebian) fashion, the most reliable way to trigger it was to learn you were infected and understand exactly what that meant; by understanding why you were doomed, you doomed yourself. It was most deadly against the people most likely to be able to fight it.

(I hope that mild anecdote is permitted if you consider my bringing up of brain fingerprinting as fodder to the thread)

If there isn't a horror scenario in here, I don't know where you could get one:
http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/12/01/us-japan-korea-ships-idUSKBN0TK3V520151201#Wsqam82eu3CzwpVk.99

TL:DR 12 boats with 22 dead bodies on board have washed up on Japanese shores since October of this year.

That link died; apparently they reposted the article to fix a problem. Try this one:

There is a Delta Green game or three in this.  It has someone saying "driving into the bush and paying a juju priest for magic email powers."  Ghanas Sakawa boys are the meeting point of internet scams and old style African religions.

"Gunslinger's Gait" -- Russian President Vladimir Putin and at least three other high-ranking Russian officials all walk with a distinctively strange style, always keeping their right hand close to their side.

KGB training? Neurological ailment? Or...something stranger?

Just going off the abstract here, but shouldn't that sort of thing be visible in other folks with weapons training? Or you know, those agencies have policies/rationale for how they train their folks that could produce that?

I have always thought someone (preferably with more experience with CoC than me, which means >0.1) would be able to make a fine campaign out of Blue Oyster Cult's IMAGINOS. Considering Sandy Peralman has always said Lovecraft was a direct influence, and I get the manic giggles thinking of PC's opposing the Cult of the Blue Oyster.

Watching the new BBC version of "...And then there were none" series. Perfect fodder for Cthulhu or SlasherFlick.

Creepy as Hell.

Listening to Colvil & Soames which is Christoper Lee's crime/espionage  series on BBC radio. Delta Green games set in the uk is obvious very good for A Dirty World.
