Now, if only we could start a ransom for me so I could go to NY Comic Con with my publisher . . .
Well, you could, you know. Kickstarter has worked well for Ross twice now and I am entirely certain that you would be able to gather funds from several people on the forums.
You only have two problems.
The first is, of course, ability to advertise. You can place notice here and on your own blog. You do not have the same public face (yet) that Role Playing Public Radio does, which limits your inward pull.
The other problem is returning value on investment. The club and cult support you because we enjoy your... well, it's simply refer to it as your 'work'. However, the vasty majority of your work is controlled by Ross Payton as the only individual with the access and ability to publish actual players including you. The sole exception, at present, is Popgun Chaos, which is not, as yet, an audio experience.
To be direct: Ross gives us APs, shiny buttons, and PDFs in exchange for our money. Our "donations" are a fee, given in good faith of returned of value. I first gave to RPPR for nothing in return apart from an ego boost at being the first donator and the sensual thrill of my internet pseudonym being spoken aloud on the show. Since then my expectation of return has increased as request for more investment as grown.
I'd donate to funding your adventure, sire. I simply require... recompense.
