I am awfully excited to Dark Sun see the light of day again, but I am thinking of running it with Savage Worlds. SW seems to be designed with Dark Sun in mind!

Don't get too excited!!! I tend to make plenty of statements that never amount to anything!!! But I have never run a PbP before and I think it would be particularly fun (if challenging)!!!

I just got my copy of the campaign setting, and it is frigging amazing! I am working on an introduction for a PbP - I plan on making it very open-ended, much like the New World. There will be a few stipulations, which I will address in further detail in the recruitment page:

1. No divine characters (duh).
2. WEAPON BREAKAGE WILL BE IN EFFECT. To compensate, the "natural enchancement bonuses" rule will be used.
3. Non-psionic characters can get a Wild Talent, but I roll for it.
4. Themes and all that jangle are allowed.
5. The characters must have a unifying theme: gladiator school, thri-kreen tribe, templar agents, whatever. You don't need to be from a similar power source, race, or even use the same themes, but there must be a reason you all are together. I don't want a contrived "oh you guys somehow meet one another" beginning, especially in such an epic setting as Dark Sun.
