I see your dragon mech, and I raise you one Broncosaurus Rex.

I've got a actual play of a game set in this world going up on my podcast later this week. Playing it was way to much fun.

But yeah, dragon mech. is awesome, and I wish I had people to play it with so that my life would be better than it is now.

I find playing without one makes it easier to lie to the players about your roles. It makes people feel as though you're being more honest than if you were using a screen. The times where I have used them, I used castle walls made out of lego, like the onr from the dope PoP lego set.

Some people have put up some pretty cool ideas though, like the menu covers.

I'm in TO. I might actually stop by. Have the get permission from the wife first...

It is a little out of the way for me though, since I take the GO, and work right by Union.

What time are you looking at running it?

We're kicking things off at about 6:00-6:30.  Usually the first half hour is just waiting for everyone to get settled and ready. If you're keen on it check the warhorn page (I'll PM you the address) for a little more info and to reserve your seat (just in case), though if you follow the links on the Community page you can find your way to it from there.

Also that picture of the Winston Churchhill statue isn't in Toronto. I've only seen two of them in m life, there's another one in Halifax NS, and that picture isn't of that one either. There's a third cast statue of Whinny out there people...

RPGs / D&D Encounters in the Greater Toronto Area

Hi Gang!

I don't know if anyone on these forums live in the GTA area (if you do you know who you are), but I thought I would just drop a note about some of the sweet RPing that's coming down the pipe.

First of all, I, Liam Gallagher, me, am going to be running the weekly D&D Encounters program at Dueling Grounds on Bloor St., if any one is interested in participating. In addition to being ableto take part in the weekly games that form the greater campaign, I'm going to be producing the adventures into a weekly podcast so that everyone can folow along with the progression of the story arc. FUN! You will be able to listen along to that (as well as my home campaign actual play podcast) at the Shattered Sea or just by searching for Shattered Sea on iTunes. Yay!

Additionally, other folks in the GTA are goingto be running this program at their own stores, and so we thought we might be able to band together, and so if you interested there's a D&D Encounters Toronto community page that is getting its ducks in a row as we speak.

Hope you like. Be gentle, it's my first time.

Hey,

I thought this article was pretty sweet. I'm going to make a bunch of these seed bombs this spring to huck on top of roof tops and into empty lots so mother fucking bees have shit to eat. I don't know what I would do if there weren't bees to help apple trees and corn have sex.

The person who saves the most bees wins, so fuck yall', I'm going to make your mothers ashamed of your selves by saving the most fucking bees.

RPGs / Re: How RPGs have helped you

GMing has taught me a lot. As  aresult I've learned a lot about mapping and cratography. Also, it's helped me to explore a lot of good books for inspiration that I wouldn't have read otherwise. It's taught me about the way that people interact, though I suppose anything would have.

The most important thing gaming has taught me though is it's very important to maintain diverse interests. Playing D&D at the game store with some of those guys who live and breathe the stuff can be a scaring experience. But then gaming also taught me to get along with people like that, and how to enjoy their company.

word.

have you read forum rules?

Yeah man, I read the rules. Good read. You're supposed to swear at full mast or not at all. Good idea.

Hi buds,

I'm a new member, and I though I would say hello. I have been enjoying RPPR podcasts since September, when I became a GM, and they helped me get through my shitty job as a grocer until I got a better job. So thanks for that. RPGs are fun. Yay.
