That sounds more realistic then :)
And gives me a chance to possibly get in some day.

I like the idea of getting the precon characters and GM notes after the AP.

I wouldn't be in the running for a 250$ donation for the long run, let alone each month. But yeah a skype or hangouts game would be a great reward. I played on Hangouts and Skype and both worked. Skype is more open because it does not force someone into a social network but Hangouts has the better tools.

Do you listen to podcasts / actual plays yourself?
What is your favorite actual play to listen to? (From your site or elsewhere)

What game are you sad that you didn't manage to record it?

Any white whales of a system or scenario out there that you have to play? Or never got right?

Where does the thing with Tom playing german Characters come from? I noticed Aaron's affinity fo tech and / or good guys more than that and being german myself I think I would have noticed.

Is there anything you regret running on the podcast? Any big changes in attitude that invalidate things said in the past?

RPGs / Trail of Cthulhu at Bundle of Holding
« on: May 06, 2014, 07:34:07 AM »
The Gumshoe Game for the Cthulhu Mythos is available at the Bundle of Holding right now and for the next nine days.
If you get it I would advice to get the bonus too. The Armitage Files and Bookhounds of London both are great campaign ideas with a well done presentation.

I am debating if I should get the Bundle myself to fill out the gaps in my collection.

There is a indiegogo campaign going for a movie based on Lovecraft's Dreamlands.
For that they released their former film, based on the Colour out of Space, on youtube where it is available for the next five days. I would give it a watch, it is well done and worth seeing. If you can watch German with subtitles.

The link to their campaign is at the youtube page too, but here  it is again.

Role Playing Public Radio Podcast / Re: Upcoming RPPR One Shot games

I like Bookhounds of London. It seems like a cool setting. But I did not have the chance of really playing it yet either.

But with the recent use of the Apocalypse World Enigne and Caleb's portrayal of gangsters and street folk I would like to see the group play The 'Hood. I imagine it would be entertaining.

I don't understand DW supplements. It sounds awesome and all! But isn't one of the main selling points of the game building the world as you go along?
I think a good supplemet would give you a foundation to build on. And especially in one shots you might want a general environment allready established, to get to the meat of the game.

The world creation does work pretty amazing in one shits though. And many would say its a big part of the meat of the game.
True, it might not be a product for everyone. Really depends on what you want out of the game.

I am an at least semi competetive level Magic: the Gathering player, so that would be what I do most.
I also like Dixit, Stone Age, Dominion and Bang!

I would not mind it if you can keep the spoilers to yourself. But in the end you should, if talking is possible before signing, be honest with the GM about it and make the decision after that. And if you allready have the spot you might still want to tell the GM that you have been spoiled about some things. Might be something that can be used at the table, at least they'll know when to stop you from spoiling something.

Not a webcomic but great and roleplaying inspired is Rat Queens. There is a cheap collection of the first five issues out recently and really worth getting.

We might be a bad target audience for No Security. Having been spoiled by APs and probably reading the scenarios.

That Disney Cacrcosa game sounds like a pretty great idea actually, if done right.

My personal listis getting pretty short at the moment, as far as actual scenarios go.
I know there will be a new edition of The Dark Eye out soon, which is a pretty big deal here in Germany. There will be an open beta too accompanied by an ashcan release. So I am sure I will take part in that, maybe recording it as actual plays for entertainment and documentation purposes. Not sure what kind of campaign it will be though, I will let the other players influence that.

There are a few Fiasco playset I still want to try out, amongst them one I wrot myself, set in a Divorce Colony.

Lots of Indiegames look intersting too. But some of them more from a player perspective. But I think I could go for running some Adventures on Dungeon Planet or Apocalypse World for a while.

As far as more solid ideas go.
After True Detective I would like to run a southern gothic, neo noir, death country vampire hunt using Nights Black Agents. Giving it a few sessions room to breath.
Another thing I would like to do would be a fantasy game where it is mostly about heists and infiltrations and stuff like that preferably set in a city as a setting. In The Dark Eye setting I know a few cities and setting that would work for it too. Either a Casablanca like city full of exiles and between factions or during a time when lizardmen and other reptilian creatures rule the world and only in the cold of night humans can come out to fight back.

I will have to decide on a week by week basis, depending on what shifts I work. But over the week currently should be better than the weekend.
Even if I'd have time tomorrow or saturday.
