General Chaos / Game Table Question
« on: December 18, 2012, 02:46:38 PM »
I just moved into a new home and have room for a game area with enough space for one table. I plan on building one table for all of my gaming needs, RPG's, Mini Gaming, and Board Gaming as well. My question would be What would be the perfect size to acomadate as many games as possible? I play a little Arcane Legions from time to time and that calls for a 4 x 6 feet game area. Anyone know of any other games that requires more? Thanks all.

General Chaos / darkly you seek yourself....
« on: October 12, 2011, 06:24:02 PM »
Listening to the lastest RRPR Ross mentions Through A Glass Darkly (Delta Green Scenario I do beleave), been hearing this term thown around more latly and was wondering if anyone knows of it's origin. I know of it from a Clutch lyric "As through a glass, darkly you seek yourself." I also know of the 1961 movie. Wondering if the movie is it's origin or if it dates back farter than that. Any ideas?

RPGs / Gen-Con Monsters/True Dungeon
« on: August 19, 2011, 06:39:59 PM »
First of all I would like to thank Ross for running another great session of Monsters and Other Childish Things-Road Trip. This was my 2nd year playing Monsters and I have had a blast both games. After the game we chated a bit and once it was mentioned that I was playing True Dungeon later that day Ross asked me to post a review of it, and here we go.
This was my first experience with True Dungeon and had no idea what I was in for. It felt almost like an amusment park ride at first with the decor and all. Over all I found it to be a very cool experience, unique and different. The puzzles were very challenging, not at all like your standard D&D game where you can take all the time you need to figure them out. A party has 12 minutes to solve the room or it's 2 damage and onto the next room. The combat was equally challenging, having to play on a bar room size shuffleboard table and aim for the armor class printed on the board. Playing the Monk I had to throw two pucks with the second having to be in motion before the first stopped moving. I found that to be very difficult having no time to aim my shot. My only real complaint was having a party of 10 people, working out puzzles was almost impossible having to shout over nine others to get your voice heard. The decor, low lighting, and music made it feel like a real dungeon while the puzzles and combats were a challenge but not impossible. Overall I'd give it a 8 out of 10.
Thank you again Ross for running the game and signing my books.
