I'm kinda surprise there's not more discussion on this thread about the content of the show.

well i just caught up. Anyway, let's review:

Alex is collaborating/under the control of/allied with the Slender Man. He is also a killer.

Jay wants to investigate the truth behind Marble Hornets/Slender Man. Jay's investigation of Slender Man is definitely something Slender Man does not want.

Tim seems to be a normal guy who wants to be left alone. However, he is also Masky. Masky is opposed to Alex and Slender Man, but obviously distrustful of Jay as well.

Slender Man/the Operator is a supernatural entity with unknown plans and abilities. Definitely malevolent though.

--

Question: Who left the medical dossier on Tim behind for Jay to find? How did Jay get away from Slender Man? Did the doll ward it off?

I'm glad that the makers of Marble Hornets have made this world and then left it up to us to make up our own reasons and find our own meanings within it...

Personally, I'm waiting for Zaftigwoman to make a scene...

Obviously, hoodie guy left it, but the question is who is hoodie guy. Given the show's general structure so far, I'm betting that hoodie guy is Jessica.

My general problem with the plot structure regards Slenderman's origins. The woods scenes suggest that he was some criminal who had be strung up and left to die. The hospital scenes suggest something different. At some point, one of these two origins has to be shown to be a red herring.

So, is Tim "Masky" or did Masky leave the file?

the show was great where it ended; it pressed all my buttons

as they've continued the show, now the interpretation that comes to my mental fore is "rust belt gothic"
