coffee on top of it??  yucka.

Well not mixed in with it, but a really nice french-pressed mug of coffee to go along with a glass of Maker's? Oh yeah.

Gin and Tonics.  ;D

Yeah we usually have some brewskis but lately it's Gin and Tonics- we were in Kenya after all. You can hear us drinking beer all over the podcast, but it never causes any problems.

We grill out, have beers and roll dice its a nice ritual we got going.

wait I missed the part about you gaming in Kenya. What was that about?

woodchuck ale is pretty good too

Yeah . . . if you're a woman.

Stella Artois is the champagne of beers, but for my money, I think Guinness is the way to go when it comes to gaming and drinking. I don't know that I've ever enjoyed Guinness as much as I do while gaming.

Also, I like when margaritas are around during gaming because I like when RJ yells "TIP IT!" in reference to getting margarita slushy from the mixer. My wife and I reference this line all the time.

Mmm Guinness used to by poison till i killed the taste. Nowadays I will sit back at the game table crack open the mead / rum / whiskey. I don't drink when GMing however that could end in disaster. i also find that when running say like a session where there at a banquet ill open up the mead and start handing it out amongst the players.

Coffee is hot garbage.   No reason to pour hot garbage into your stomach after its been blessed with Marker's Mark.

For many reasons of a personal nature I do not drink, and most of the people I play with do not drink while gaming (though if we're at one guy's apartment, he'll have a few glasses of wine, another's he'll have at least one Corona).

One of our players was a bit too heavy of a drinker, but he's a douchebag for many other reasons and thankfully isn't our problem anymore.

The final game of the huge Call of Cthulhu scenario I ran had one person drinking, and that is the major reason I no longer allow my players to drink while I run. I tend to make sure no one drinks themselves into a coma at parties, but while running the game I lost track of individuals beyond the game. She went through an entire bottle of vodka on her own on an empty stomach, managed to derail the game for nearly an hour, insulted and alienated most of her friends, and actually drank herself into the point where she had a severe medical problem and should have been brought to the hospital.

With that in mind, I no longer allow my players to drink when I run. They can do whatever they like when someone else is in charge, but I don't need to be worrying about that when I'm already trying to herd cats through an adventure.

I usually knock back a brew or two at game-time. Helps me relax 'n get into character a bit easier. Guinness is a classic, but I've also really been taken with Founder's 'Dirty Bastard', which is an amazing Scotch Ale. Great stuff.

Alternatively, some B&B on cold nights works great.

Gotta say, Stella Artois (aka Stellar Act-a-twat) is a very popular drink with the Football(soccer) culture over here and well you can imagine how it got that name.
For me its, Jack, Jim, Jerry or Morgan for spirits and Tiger beer for well beer.
