You could use a variety of slave backgrounds for PCs - kidnapped northern-born guy (12 years a slave) for the scholarly PC, house servants (first aid, social skills), field workers (survival, melee and throwing weapons), etc.

The Anarchy.  One of my players really really REALLY wants to finally play a medieval-fantasy sort of game.  So I tossed out an idea I'd had for a campaign based on the period in England called the Anarchy.  (Heavy inspiration from Pillars of the Earth/World Without End.)  Haven't figured out what system I want to use, though.

You might check out the A Song of Ice and Fire rules. Leave out the House creation stuff and a few things like Green Sight, Warg, etc. and it should work fine. There's also the generic Cortex system. It works well when I want to do either low or no magic games.

And there's always Mouse Guard.

I've been planning a 5th Edition D&D game since GenCon in a world of my own making.   Inspired by elements of the Malazan Books of the Fallen, The First Law triology (and related novels) and Castle Greyhawk.

I would also like to run a roaring '20's era Wild Talents game.  Inspired by the Shadow, & Green Hornet.  Low on earth shattering super powers, long on a potential mafia gang war and "steam-punk" exoskeletons.

I'm running a session for my long-standing Pathfinder group this Sunday. It'll be the first time we've gotten to play since about May. I use Paizo's standard Golarion setting, but right now the  PCs are on a spaceship, trying to get back from an alien planet. They're about to run into a seemingly-abandoned ship made out of a single colossal skull...

But it's actually a ship crewed by the undead, and the gigantic skull itself is a demilich. Good times in store, I suspect.

As I advocated for on Facebook. Engineer an encounter with a Vampire or cadre of Vampires. Something that is probably too tough for them normally, then they can feel the satisfaction of dusting  opening a porthole to let the sunshine in (la la la) and dust a bunch of Vampires with the power of the SUN.
42.7% of all statistics are made up on the spot.
If you can't fix it with duck tape you haven't used enough.
I intend to live forever -- so far, so good.

I've got so many betas I have to go through. Promethean 2nd Edition is being betaed by Onyx Path, Delta Green has playtest stuff out, and I need to test a bunch of stuff I'm writing.

Also I'm in three fifth edition D&D games now. I really like it.

Oh yeah, I'm gonna use that idea -- but with a room full of about 50 Bodaks. :)

I've never played or ran this game before, but I've been looking at trying my hand at a Dirty World game.  I've already got 75% of the story worked out, just need to stat the characters.  Probably try to run this for the RPPR fan Google group if any are interested.

Sure is! The RPPR Forum Online Gaming Group. It's who I ran my No Soul Left Behind playtest and played the Delta Green Alpha with.

Definitely interested there Thorn, just depends on the schedule.

Sweet! I'm gonna join. Super excited to maybe get in on some games there. (I'm Ethan Cordray, out in the Real Name World).

One dude's running Pathfinder right now. After that Alex has an Eclipse Phase game ready and then I'm running my Base Raiders campaign. After that I've got a survival horror thing in ORE that I'm writing now.

Are you using Nemesis for the horror game?
