Lore

Ending spoilers abound in all links.

A redditor wrote a 90 page treatise on his Bloodborne theories.  Correct or not (and all Souls games have ongoing debate about lore interpretations), it is a good resource for anyone aspiring to build a Bloodborne rpg.

I really like Bloodborne. The earlier Souls games are fun too but Bloodborne hooked me hard.

I'm currently running a BRP game that acts as a prequel to Bloodborne. The players are early hunters in far flung areas of the country around Yharnam before the discovery of the Beast Plague's cause. Neither players has played the game before so they are gonna be REALLY surprised.

I have such a fever to play Bloodborne it is nuts. I actually own the Collector's Edition, but don't have a PS4 to play it on. Hopefully that'll change soon, but until then I must subsist on Let's Plays. I have played Dark Souls 1 and 2, though not to completion, and something about Bloodborne's faster pace and setting seems to grab a lot more than the older From Software Souls-style games.

Between Bloodborne and the kickstarter for Koji Igarashi's new IGAvania game, Bloodstained, I've got a serious Edwardian/Victorian-era, fighting monsters, Castlevania, type itch I'm hoping to scratch soon with running Accursed, the Savage Worlds monstrous heroes RPG.

Is that why Caleb kept bringing it up on the latest episodes? Is he torturing you?

Probably. I throw Palladium and deadEarth at him, so I deserve it

Bloodborne has pretty amazing architecture based on Gothic and Gothic Revival of the 1800s, if you want to get some more ideas for Ruin  :P

What's the sizzle? Anything fancy about your stream? Will you be doing a run wearing only the top hat? I demand bread and circuses!

I'm trying to decide between an Undertaker or Belmont playthrough. Undertaker would be Axe -> Kirkhammer asap, Belmont would be the Threaded Cane. Any suggestions either way or something else?

Belmont would be cool.

My next playthrough I want to build for sorcery since I did strength my first time through and didn't get to see all fo the cool stuff. And for my own entertainment I want to never equip pants.

ADDITION: Ooh! I might try and do Guts with Ludwing's Blade and the Cannon. Not sure what armor set to use... Executioner?

Cainhurst or Bone Ash sets minus a helm might fit for a Guts build.

I actually finished my first play through this weekend! Got the Childhood's Beginning ending and now I'm already through Vicar Amelia in NG+. Man do I love this game.

I'll stream my Belmont file again sometime this week if anybody feels like watching.
