Listening to the Call Of Cthulu AP's makes me wanna go find the books... Once the holidays are over and my bank account is back to its once glorious state, that is...

Yeah, I bought Delta Green because of Dig to Victory.

This AP is turning out to be interesting. All this time I've never had any idea how a game of Monsters actually goes and now I'm finding out: really strangely.

I have an AP of MAOCT author Ben Baugh running Candlewick Manor (I'm a player yaaaay). There is a horde of mongooses fighting snakes and that isn't even the weirdest part.

I also ran a Monsters game set in the kingdom of Oz. I don't want to spoil what happens but I was laughing so hard at one point I couldn't breathe or talk.

I did some looking into that sort of thing while ago when I saw an RPG that was set in Oz. That place is fucked up, man.

I think I remember you talking about that in one of your podcasts... You should definitely put up that AP... I'd love to hear it played out.

I'm a little stunned to read that there are folks out here who were lead to Delta Green (modern alien conspiracy meets Lovecraft) because they heard me running WWI Call of Cthulhu scenarios...

I guess some folks are just crazy enough to assume that if we're good at one genre, then we might not suck at another. Wait 'til you hear some of the Wild West scenarios we've done. Or even the ones where we played indians on the Great Plains during the 1930s... those were pretty damn cool too.

I'm talking with Ross Payton about recording more Pagan Publishing playtests... this time of scenarios that are actually in print so you can run out and by them if you like what you hear.

It'll just take some research and price comparison to find the right recording device and find a crew of playtesters who are interested in allowing themselves to be recorded. I'm not sure the guys at Pagan (the writers and editors) would be comfortable with that. With any luck I'll scare up some local players, or I'll record some con games. In any case, we are working on bringing more actual play recordings to RPPR.

Just out of curiosity, how many/how long (time wise)/how much (memory wise) actual plays are recorded (roughly, if you happen to know)?

Over 30 episodes easily. New World has about a dozen left - ten more from Gencon and Dragoncon - Tom ran 1 game of CoC for me and aaron, plus a few sessions of Mutants and Masterminds. I played in a few 4E games last summer - prolly about 6 or 7 - and I have a 2 session game of CoC based on the video game Prototype - I just ran a game of All Flesh Must Be Eaten based on the movie Daybreakers - Bill ran a one shot of Don't Rest Your Head - Cody has run 2 sessions of his New World prequel game so far, I ran a game of CoC and Fear Itself with Patrick and Karee as guest players and I'm sure I'm missing a few other games.

Probably over 100 hours altogether
