The Age of Masks AP made m&m seem like a shitload of confusing used to ice a cake of complication.
So yeah is it Wild Talents?

M&M didn't sound confusing so much as annoying with opposed rolls versus every damned action.  I've found that Wild Talents isn't any less complicated though.  My group just about had aneurysms creating characters and trying to play a test scenario.  Once you learn it, it's pretty straightforward and simple.

I don't think Mutants and Masterminds actually has that. I can only assume it's a rule variant or something because I can't find it in my copy.

I just bought Wild Talents along with some other ORE books.

I've said it earlier but I'll say it again. I had no idea what I was doing in the M&M version of Age of Masks.

I remember. I brought it up way back when. Neil wasn't around for that so it needed to be explained again. And again. And maybe once after that as well.

We should play M&M again. As long as we try and be somewhat serious with it because the game turns to shit when people get slap happy pappy with it.

Speaking of which, I'm listening to that second Prototype game and I have to say the level of "what the fuck are you doing?" rises pretty quickly. Not even half way through the game you and Tom are avoiding the other characters, in game, whenever possible. Hilarious now. Must've sucked then.

I HATED that game because the first one was all about investigation and very little action while the second game was just gun masturbation. Seriously, time out how much time is wasted with people arguing about what kind of guns they want to take and you'll fucking go insane.

"I WANT A D.EAGLE!"
"OMG ME TOO! D.EAGLES ARE TEH AWESUM!!!"

I'm still fucking bitter about it.

Ross had mentioned it so often I thought that he was exaggerating but my god. Those where some dudes who where not used to Call of Cthulhu.

Call of Cthulhu is not used to gun masterbation.
Don't hate the game.

Have you ever seen the back of the Delta Green book? Stroke fest.

I mean there's there for flavor and because the guys who wrote it are nuts about stuff like that (just listen to any of the APs with Scott Glancy), but it can get a little crazy.

yeah but guns are fucking useless against the truly scary shit in CoC. Hell, in the prototype game do you think any gun would have been able to take down Alex Mercer or the monsters that gave him a problem?
