Rogue Trader game. Not play by post exactly.
« on: November 25, 2009, 01:45:25 PM »
I'm getting ready to try and run a game of Rogue Trader via Skype with some fellows over at Swing and a Miss.

The game will use the free download "quick start" rules from Fantasy Flight so owning the game is not required. If you do own the game, you can make a character. The download comes with three pregen characters.

I wanted to know if any RPPR listeners would like to play. I can't take everybody, three or four is nearly too large for a Skype game as it is. If you are interested I have two open spaces that can be fought for.

If the game goes well I'll certain run it again for another group.

What night is it?  and what time/timezone?  Very important to those of us with jobs and dogs and significant others : D

Also, if theres enough response, I was thinking for trying to get a Skype game going of something.  Houses of the Blooded or some other more indy game.

NerdBound will also be represented. I didn't actually explain who I am in the posts. I GM most of the games we post over at www.nerdbound.com. I'm looking forward to playing.

We haven't gotten that fair. This is just to see if anyone is interested.

Well, I'm interested and free every night except Monday, Friday, and Saturday.  On the weekdays I'm free after 6 EST.  Sunday is free all day.

Ah, another Eastern Time dude. nbneil is Eastern too. I'm Pacific and Swing and Miss is Central (I think). I'm available all day on Thursday Decemeber 3rd so I'd like to aim for around that time if possible (I have the next day off so I can go late).

Please do. I think we have space for one more. Make sure to download the quick start rules from Fantasy Flight.

I would jump on that like a hobo on a ham sandwich.  I get off on dirty hippy indie games 8).

Nerdbound and Swing And A Miss will be hosting the game collaboratively on our podcasts. I'm looking forward to running more and more one-shots via Skype to connect all the players who have such a hard time finding local gamers to play with.

Which is exactly what Gamer Dead Zone is supposed to be about, so I'm feeling good about the future prospects of these kinds of event.

T.O., we couldn't get you back, so we had to sign off.  Let me know if you have some time in the next week and we can at least try to record the summary and conclusion for the podcast.  Everyone really enjoyed it, so I'm hoping we could organize another game at some point.  Thanks for running it.  I have to convince my group to get in on some of the action if possible.

Sorry I got cut off at the end like that. I was trying to wrap everything up before it happened again.

I'd be happy to try and link up to record the summary later on.

And I'm overjoyed everyone liked the game.

Yah, very good session.  I had a lot of fun playing.  Your descriptions of both combats were really great.
