Riding on the Rogue Trader game's coattails.
« on: December 06, 2009, 11:29:53 PM »
I would really like to run a game of InSpectres over Skype.  The InSpectres Startup Edition has everything you need to play.

My only difficulty right now is that I would really like to have some sort of real-time collaborative document editor like Etherpad (which is now defunct) to use so everyone could see and manage the various dice pools and characters.  The closest thing I can think of that's out there is Google Wave, so can anyone either give me an invite or suggest an alternate program?

As for meet-up time, I just lost my job, so my schedule has cleared up for a little while  ::).

I'm willing to give it a shot. I work an eight to five so I'm only around after six pm, pacific time, and only for a few hours, except on weekends.

I'd totally be down for some InSpecters.  I'm eastern time, and I work the 8 to 6 grind, M-F.

Wow, we would totally make a perfect team if we didn't have that whole, three hours time difference problem.

Nope, five days a week. But since I'm at the "end" of the time ribbon, ie three hours behind those of you on the eastern coast, I can be flexable if you can. For example, I could play 6-10 on thursday, which would mean you'd be up until one am but if you have that friday off than it might work.

And, of course, we have the rather simple opinion of playing on friday night, since we both have saturday off. I normally have a thing on saturday mornings but I can change it if I need to.

Would you be interested in that option, Murph?  It would probably be our most convenient option right now.  Also, keep in mind a game of InSpectres is comparatively short to other RPGs, so I doubt we'd be playing past midnight (eastern time).  Like I said before though, my schedule is totally open right now so any day/time is cool.

2 more things:
I'm thinking 4 or so players would be good, so if anyone else wants to join in, speak up so I/we can accommodate you.
I'm still stuck in a rut about the whole "real-time collaborative document editor" thing, so if anyone has an idea, let me know.

I'd like to play and I work a similar schedule to Murph except it's 830-630 Mon-Fri. I'm pretty slammed the next few weeks with the holidays so I'll make it if I can, but don't plan around me.

Right the holidays things... well, I don't think there's any major changes to my schedule as a result of those until the days of, the 25th, 31th, and 1st, which are mostly fridays this year.

Unless we jump on this like next week I'm afriad I might not be able to play until January.

How does Friday the 18th (or sometime the weekend of) sound?

I should be able to get a few hours free after work.

I believe the 18th works for me.  I'm off all day.

Alright, I checked by schedule and things do, indeed, seem clear for the 18th. I'll use the time between now and then to try and iron out the errors I had last time.

I'm definitely out that day (have to pack for holiday travel the next day).  I'll do my best to make the next one with my fingers crossed for another Rogue Trader game.  It was a good group, so I think it would be fun no matter what the game.  If anyone can/does record it, I'd be happy to host it or just take a listen since InSpectres sounds pretty cool.  Who didn't want to be a Ghostbuster?

I defintially plan to do another Rogue Trader game, and to make sure everybody can be involved, including Hero, who missed the first one.
