Gamers say that about anything they don't like. True Dungeon has been running for a long time and, apparently, sells extremely well every year so a majority of people must enjoy it.

Well, I've heard specific reasons as to why they didn't like it. But you're right, why not experience it for yourself?

Ross' suggestion of the DCC Tournament is a good one, I participated in 2008 and it was a blast.

The DCC doesn't ring a bell, what's that about? I mean I'm gonna search the forums and Google is as soon as I post this so I'll probably know but I want to hear from somebody who's done it too.

Also, on the subject of unofficial games, I want to try running my CoC scenario again now that I've given it the alpha test acid wash.

:'(

They where very noisy Ross. Very, very noisy. If I didn't love The Gamers so much I probably wouldn't have listened to that interview as many times as I have.

Though the one with the Dwarf Fortress guy was awesome. That was a guy right? Honestly it's so vague a memory that I might as well as dreamed it.

Somebody transcribed that entire interview into words. I love DF, but I'm not that crazy.

DF fans are all fucking insane.  If you view video games as art, then DF is the crazy guy who makes the Taj Mahal out of macaroni and live cats at 1/16th scale.

Also the transcription includes snarky little comments from the transcriber.

Fixed.

No true DF fan would ever let a cat live and be part of a building.

Would that qualify as a catastrophe?

(Paraphrasing Ross, in his DF shoutout from RPPR episode # idon'tremember.)
I didn't come here to win. I came to make friends.

Don't give them fucking ideas! There's gonna be enough screwed up stuff at GenCon without you helping!
