Why does everyone always want to use the rods for climbing? So many more interesting options...

I'm starting a new thread - this is worthy of its own.

I've always been a pretty big fan of Immovable Rods.  All you need it 2 and you got a ladder to anywhere.

That always struck me as a problem of ligistics. You don't have any footholds unless you use the rods right next to a wall and climbing without any weight support sucks.

That's only if you need your legs to climb. We're talking about badass rogues and warriors here. They should be more than capable of climbing with just their arms if they have a solid grip.

I'm sure they could, I just can't imagine myself doing it. Be like doing dozens of one handed chin ups.

Because of his avatar I am imagining Bruce Campbell doing it.
