The KiY is by Robert W. Chambers, not Dereleth.

I know but I believe that Carcosa has since been adapted into the Mythos involving Hastur which is, as far as I'm aware, a creation of Derleths.

Hastur (The Unspeakable One, Him Who Is Not to be Named, Assatur, Xastur, or Kaiwan) is a fictional entity of the Cthulhu Mythos. Hastur first appeared in Ambrose Bierce's short story "Haïta the Shepherd" (1893) as a benign god of shepherds. Robert W. Chambers  later used Hastur in his own stories to represent both a person and a place associated with the names of several stars, including Aldebaran.[1]

Dereleth is behind the octopus god version of Hastur http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hastur

mythos smackdown!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not really, it was just a part of the mythos I'd never really cared for but felt by now I should know about. So pretty much August just glued his interpretation of Hastur onto a fictional city created by someone else. Gotcha.

Recently, I discovered a neat app to plan campaigns and adventures for D&D 4th ed called Masterplan. It has been very useful for making a simple campaign framework, building encounters and checking balancing issues and that XP is being distributed at a good pace. You can also use digital versions of the Dungeon Tiles to plan out how the encounter areas will look like digitally for later use during the real game. You can even write a complete encyclopedia as to elements in your campaign if you so desire. It's great to streamline the mechanical part of D&D.

It's completely free but DDI is reccomended. Check it out! http://www.habitualindolence.net/masterplan/

I've been using this one dice roller for all of my Skype Games.  It's pretty elaborate and can do things like re-roll on 10s (useful for WoD or Savage Worlds) or sort all the rolls in ascending order (useful for ORE games).

Does anybody know if there is a program out there for creating CoC or Delta Green pregen characters?  I believe Ross mentioned one, but it isn't compatible with Macs.  I've been making a lot of pregens lately, and even with mach dice, I gotta tell you it is getting pretty tedious.  Looking for something to speed up the process, even if it is just a normed distribution of stat points or something.

WINE will solve problems with a lack of Mac Compatibility.  DarWINE is the easiest install.

Just wanted to share this as a really great, really simple and nicely constructed mapping website that allows export of some really great maps. Works great for 4e or really any fantasy/wilderness styled games.
