Petero

Picking up the surgical knife thrown at him, he walks up to Frollo.

"And as for you. What were you thinking? Throwing things like this around before you have your facts straight. What kind of a doctor are you?!"

I couldn't think of a better way to set you up for impressing me with some phony credentials. Enjoy!

Anton

Anton begins worriedly backing out the front door and in one last hopeful attempt tells the sword to stop.

Anton is not sure if it his command or not, but as soon as he starts backing out of the door, the swordlike force stops chasing the cat and starts inching closer to him.

Anton

Anton decides to play it "safe," grabs the book and quickly leaves entering the street to see Petero and Frollo.

"Help!" he cries, "Does anyone know how to control a ghost sword?!"

Frollo

After attempting to get the gold back and failing, Frollo narrows his eyes at Petero.

"I am a doctor of the peace, otherwise known as Alastair Von Blackheart, infamous bounty hunter and marshal. I understand that you stole some gold from a nobleman. This action has impeded the medical effectiveness of the entire area. Give me back my knife, so that I may put you down like the thieving scum you are."

Before Petero can respond to Frollo, both turn to see a man carrying a book come running out of a nearby house. A swordlike force hovers a few feet behind the man, the force appears to stay at the distance that it is at all times.

Petero

"Well Marshall, I think it's obvious I did not have the gold. The other gentlemen did and the nobleman must simply have mistaken one commoner for another. (you know how they are) I am Petero the Footman, a detective and finder of lost things. I shall return your knife as well as...

sleight of hand to take a knife from Marshall Alastair's pocket/bandolier/pack/whatever

"...this other one you have dropped, as a sign of good faith. Now. I think the gentleman being chased by the demon over there needs some assistance!"

Petero will hand the two knives to Frollo and begin inching towards the screaming man, trying to figure out what he might do to help.

Frollo

Frollo is going to get out his bonesaw and attempt to move silently towards the man. Obviously the sword like force or one of the man's limbs would have to be removed, to allow his body to remain balanced.

Anton

Anton looks out in panic seeing the relative chaos in the streets.  He looks around frantically trying to remember where the local spellcaster lived.

Anton

Anton looks at Frollo, curious as to why he would be approaching him with a bonesaw, and feeling threatened warns him, "Back off or I will command this ghost of my fallen uncle to kill you!" while pointing back towards the spectral sword.

So we may be supposed to be saving the kingdom, but it looks like we might just all end up killing each other first.. :P

You might be able to save the kingdom by killing each other. I'm going to let you guys continue to interact before I post again.

Frollo

Upon seeing that Anton has noticed him, Frollo will stand up and say, " Okay, here's the situation. Pelor has cursed you with some sort of extra, floating sword appendage. We have two options here. 1.) I remove a limb with this here bonesaw. 2.) We take a holy pilgrimage to remove the horrid plague from your body."

"Reasonable?"

Anton

"Well, I don't think it's an appendage as it appeared after I read from this book, but it could be.  I don't very much like the idea of losing a limb or traveling.  But if I had to choose I guess I would go with the pilgrimage.  What gives you the authority to order me around?"

Anybody looking at the swordlike force will notice that it has started to flicker and fade.
