Creepy Lock Box in the Basement
« on: July 05, 2010, 04:16:37 PM »
So today, I'm in the back storage room of our basement in our new flat and I found something interesting.

Entrance to the back storage room:

What is that?

Seriously, what the hell is that?

Holy crap...

Well at least it isn't locked.

Damn it's empty.

At this point, I decided that since I had a creepy lock box in the basement that I might as well take advantage of the situation. So I grabbed an old book and an old leather journal to put in the box. Karee suggested that I put a porcelain doll in the box next and take a picture. So, I guess I'm taking suggestions on what you guys think I should put in the box within reason of course.

Mythos Tome and Sorcerer Diary in Box
I think this could actually pair really well with the pictures I did in my office awhile back.

Some old reading glasses!

That can be arranged. My old glasses are actually round half frames that will look like old style glasses in the lighting. I just have to find them.

Creepiest geocache ever

Except I don't want people tramping through my basement to find it.

That reminds me a lot of that German film Antibodies.

My initial thought was "how funny would it be to take a dildo and make it look old tymey. You could take the hand crank off of a mixer and attach it to the dildo and also bronze it so it looks old. Put that in the lockbox and people would think it was vintage and maybe someone would take it to the Antiques Roadshow one day."

I won't go there though. So, instead, I think you should stuff pork products in there. It can be your "pork box."
I'm from Alaska. About Fifty miles south of Ankorage there's a little fishing town, maybe you've heard of it, it's called fuck your momma.

Just remember to leave something weird and vaguely creepy in it when you leave...

Surely a mirror the full length of the back would freak people out for a second when they opened the box?

I suggest leaving some propnomicon style things in jars behind. That'd scare the crap our of whoever finds it.

Oh, things in jars, that'd be a good one.

In actuality, I'm thinking about doing a blog style creepypasta about a found journal that I "found" in the lock box. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what will be in the journal.

I think, over the entries, it should be clear the journal is writing itself. It would be actually pretty weird to start with, and sound like some poor abused child (I'm locked in the box again) etc. And, of course, the last entry would be about whoever is reading it, reading it :D

Put a viper in their and devise some way to feed it automatically.

When an unfortunate investigator later opens up the cache to discover the secrets within he will get bit for 1d6 CON damage.
