As a fan of the show and the books, I think the show rocks.

And Patrick, my Diplomacy roll of 26 beats your Will Defence.  I have convinced you that all your reservations are completely unfounded and that you have nothing to worry about.

No, remember?  Ross is a horrible monster and doesn't let players mind control each other.

So I take it it didn't "jump the shark?"  That's good to hear.  I've seen episodes 1, 2, and 4, but haven't gotten the chance to see the rest.  Hopefully I'll see them soon.  I've really enjoyed what I've seen though...

How many episodes until we find out what Dr. Jenner whispered to Rick. You know, that his wife is soon to be a zombie.

Well, depending on what the writers choose to import from the comics, it could very well be about
Lori being pregnant.
That or all of the survivors are dormant carriers of the pathogen that reanimated everyone into 'walkers'.

Finally caught up and finished season 1. I thought episode 4 was weak but the finale was great. Very moving.

I agree with Aaron about the whisper although perhaps it also meant that Andrea is infected or has some other sickness.

Interesting to see how it's varying from the comic. I hope the commentary goes into why they went a different route.

You guys realize I wasn't being serious about Lori being infected, right?

Oops, sorry.  Actually your joke hypothesis is probably more sane and accurate than half of the explanations I found on the SA Walking Dead thread.

It's fine. I'm sure you're right.
And I'm sure it's Shane's.
I dunno. Shane's an asshole but I kinda feel bad for the guy. The character's an asshole in the comic books but he really honestly DID think that Rick was dead, or at the least that he panicked at the hospital. He didn't know if he could move Rick or not without killing him.

So again, Shane's a complete asshole, but earlier in the season they totally wrote Shane as they guy who felt like he was the leader, helping be a role model to a kid, working with a family and then all that shit fell through the floor the moment Rick came back.

Poor guy. Asshole. I can see both sides of it.

BTW...Lori's totally gonna be pregnant.

"Vampirism is the cure to zombie the menace..."

I think thats what the doctor whispered into Rick's ear just as he made his escape from the CDC facility.

Thats why Rick looks at the doctor with that shocked expression. He knows what he must do...

How do you defeat the zombies? Turn every single one of those undead bags of puss into a shit-sucking vampire!!
