Pontifex isn't evil, he's just misunderstood.

A wise man once said, Just because you do evil things to save the world dont make you evil, it makes you a Zealot.

I'd rather say he is pragmatic machiavellian, not evil.

So i just finished farewell to arms, as im pretty new to the series, but so far i can say that my favorite part was the dinner party, and wrap of of farewell to arms had me going crazy wondering what the PC's were thinking to do what they did.

I think that is kind of the most common emotion related to the New World. We make some dumb decisions.
I'm from Alaska. About Fifty miles south of Ankorage there's a little fishing town, maybe you've heard of it, it's called fuck your momma.

The PCs' brazen willingness to make Bad Decisions is one of the selling points of the game, though!

I like the way the decisions seem reasonable at the time but any outside observer almost instantly spots the problem, such as when Cody and Bill come back the session after Mike makes the deal with the vampire. Cody tries to be reasonable about it at first but...

Cody- "Well, I mean it's not like we're really helping the vampires, right?"
Ross- "Actually Mike agreed to give them access to the ruins you guys control."
Cody - "Why the fuck would you do that?!"

God, I know how you feel. Once players get in their head someone is evil, it's over.

Sadly the first thing that went through my head when they didn't outright stop the new nation/religion from forming was "this new thing is going to cause so many wars of religion they should end it before it stops, the world doesn't need more gods to worship."

i realized while listening to the last update that in the 28 sessions you've uploaded only like two characters have had significant character development*.

which i guess is pretty good since most d&d campaigns don't have any at all.

*: unless you could tom growing wings but eh

I'm fulfilling my duty and posting the name of a local law firm, so as to facilitate further hilarity in future episodes. The most noteworthy attorney in the Jacksonville area is probably Farah & Farah: MAKE YOUR ONE SHOT AT COMPENSATION COUNT.

Yes, I realize that you guys were being facetious. I felt obligated to post this anyways.

In the first ten or so minutes, Cody talks about copywriting the "Lex Luthor times ten!!!" joke. You guys then start riffing on local law firms, and Tom jokingly tells the listeners to send in names of local law firms for you guys to reference.

I love how Cody's divinations are always correct, he's a real seer of a wizard - No healthcare, Lost is gone. Love the Actual Plays, post more.

Iceemaker - Thank you so much for including your local law firm! We may sound facetious when we want people to post their own law firms, but I really do want to know.

Here is the firm we were talking about with that actor whose name we couldn't think of (it's Robert Vaughn)

http://www.tbmlaw.com/

And here is another version of the commercial for another firm by him. Our commercial was EXACTLY the same except that he said, "And tell them you. mean. business."

What can I say? I've played Locke so much that his foresight has now transferred to me in my real life. D&D is magic, kids. You can't even hold it. *looks off pensively*
