Favorite character class in 3.5 Dungeons and dragons
« on: March 04, 2010, 01:43:00 PM »
Hi all,

I am very curious to see what your favorite class is in this version and why.

Try to give examples if you can of why you like it and why it becomes so good.

Regards

Wizard.

I just like wizards. I find know-it-all characters interesting.

depends on what level the game is aimed at but I lean towards casters. There was a versatile class introduced in dungeonscape the factotum, that seemed pretty interesting.

i love clerics, druids, fighters and wizards depending on the campaign

EDIT: clerics, cause they can wear as much armor as they want and cast kick-ass spells
druids, cause i love the spells they cast like wild shape so for a moment you can take place as a fighter
fighters, cause i like the idea of being the first line of defense
and wizards cause the spells get very powerful so you can take out 12 enimies at a time(yes i am taking
                    about fireball)

I enjoyed Clerics for their usefulness until I got Tomb of Battle, at which point I developed a love affair with the Warblade (and Martial Adepts in general).

They can use Martial Maneuvers, get access to Fighter only Feats, use a d12 Hit Die, and have class abilities of their own.

Classes that I really like (just from standard classes to keep things easy), Sorcerers and Monks.  But if you start counting prestige classes (which I love), and other starter classes, I don't think I could really start to narrow down...

I play rogues and bards the most.  I tend towards scoundrel characters, like Inigo Montoya and Westley scoundrel not Vizzini.

In my current 3.5 campaign I have tried a Artificer, which is just a royal pain to keep track of, too much going on... though he is also a clock work warforge gnome as well...  who may or may not have been a undead litch for so long that his litch body rotted and died too... He has no memory of the litch thing though.

anyway, also Im playing a 4.0 paladin of moradin, which has been fun too.

The Master of Many Forms prestige class was pretty epic for Druids...

I had a lot of fun as pally, but when we ran oriantal Adventures the Samuri in there was prob my number 1. My friend played as a shaman in that one, and it looked like fun but never got to play as one.
