It's also important to remember the odd effects Mr. Mojo Risen has upon mortal sanity.

Although their SAN crashes like a rock the loses are never revealed to the victims. The true SAN totals are kept behind the Great Keeper's Screen (GKS) and known only to the Cathartic Lobster itself.

This means that the world those exposed to Coddowalshagoth see is not "the truth" but a collective delusion. Because they don't know they have lost sanity, their perceptions and ideas are true and normal to them and to their fellows. Meanwhile, everyone else can see just how crazy they really are.

As such, Cultists of Coddowalshagoth always appear crazy to others and seldom to each other.

Of course, SAN lost from other sources can still effect cultists. And if the SAN loses incured by the Cathartic Lobster are ever revealed to a victim by Coddowalshagoth or a mortal somehow sees behind the GKS (likely to induce massive SAN lose in it's own right) and sees their true total SAN, than the gather effects rush into place right away.
