I am the Spring Augur.
I play 3.5 and Call of Cthulhu
I played 4e for 2 sessions at the release, thought there was a lot of fun,, and that there was a huge improvement in combat.
Haven't had the chance to play it since.
I am Canadian.

Hello fellow Canadian! Do you share the hobby of beaver watching too? Insert obligatory "eh" here.

Hey, I guess I should have posted here first.

I'm Matt.  I'm from the Chicagoland area in Illinois.  Just graduated from college and looking for work (not unlike Mr. T).
I got into gaming with D&D 3.5 when I was 18 (4 years ago).  I recall my first character ever was a monk which my GM suggested should take Vow of Poverty (probably because he had just gotten the BoED).  I don't think he used that book again after my monk was killed.

I ran a pretty vanilla D&D 3.5 game at the end of my freshman year of college for friends at school.  It was there that I learned that any fight that should be "easy" for your players will inevitably kill at least one of them.

Most of my friends are Mormons, and so after they left to go on 2-year missions to spread the word, my old gaming group (and friend group) dissolved.  I joined a Shadowrun 4th Ed game at school my sophomore year.  That group ended up moving out, so I took the next 2 years off gaming.

This summer, all of my friends came back home and my old GM decided to run another 3.5 campaign.  I found RPPR, and am now running a M&M 2nd Ed game, and will soon start running a MAOCT Road Trip game.
tl;dr version:  I'm a gaming newb.  I used to play 3.5, but friends left so I stopped.  RPPR got me running two games in systems I had never heard of before now.  Also, I joined the SA forums because of the stories of terrible FATAL pbp games, and I had to read that madness.

Thanks for feeding the addiction, guys.

That's a trick question.  Knowing any of the mechanics of FATAL without going mad = permaban.  In fact, the two of us probably should be banned simply for naming it on these forums.

I think I'm going to run a game of Synnibarr, just because.  Actually, yes, yes I will, and I will record it, and the character creation.  Just because it is that insane...

Synnibarr I could possibly see working out, mostly just to make a character who can do more damage than the Death Star with his bare hands (even though you'd probably have more fun with Wushu).

I'm not sure if it's actually possible to play a game of FATAL.  The guys on SA just sorta took the character sheets and rolled d20s occasionally, which is way fewer d100 and d10000 than you're supposed to roll.  AND THE DICE NEVER LIE.

Yes!

If you do not create a Ross-like character that has been driven insane by the very world of Synibarr, you are missing out. Also, they must be a ninja.

Well, I'm rolling a character right now to make sure I have some idea of how to do it, and most of it is random generation.  It's a female hispanic wereman that is 6' tall, but only weighs 142lbs but can carry 2,600lbs, and is below average, and...

I just don't know anymore...

My name is Jason. I've been listening to RPPR for about 6 months. Finally got completely up to date. I run Call of Cthulhu and Delta Green exclusively, and have for way too long. I live in Southern California, if anyone on the list wants to get together for a game, let me know. I'm a regular lurker on the DGML and YSDC under the same screen name JonasArgham.

Did I mention that Raven McCracken and I are friends on Facebook? Who told me to "continue to roll your fate" after I told him that we were huge fans.

I had no clue what he meant.
I'm from Alaska. About Fifty miles south of Ankorage there's a little fishing town, maybe you've heard of it, it's called fuck your momma.

Fate is the name of the GM in Synnibarr if that helps...

EDIT:  I've got it!  He wants you to Rick-Roll your GM!  Or wait, maybe not...
