If I'm not mistaken, I believe those are the result of a fungus eating a particular type of larva. They have magical abilities, the most important of which being extracting money from wallets.

Role Playing Public Radio Podcast / Re: Episode 72: World of Darkness

I played Vampire back in the day (either right before the new stuff came out or it came out and we just didn't buy it, I don't remember) when I was in high school. Good memories. We were actually rather underpowered compared to the world around us... we were really just total scrubs, pothead vampires getting mixed up in stuff that was way over their heads. I played a pyromaniac Malkavian with a katana and an uzi. I am not joking. I didn't hit a lot with that uzi in my left hand. It was not really all angsty and goth, it was actually more like a vampiric version of Boondock Saints. It's supposed to be like this huge deal in the game if you actually kill other vampires, but we did it all the time... they kept trying to kill us! And then they kept sending more vampires to kill us for having killed other vampires, so we just kept it up. I think at one point we drank vampire blood because someone was going to kill us if we didn't or something, so we were in trouble for that, too. It was ridiculous, but we always managed to escape, leaving a trail of fire and destruction in our wake.

And the Craft skill saved my life.

Wickersham Wall? WTF?  :o

So I'd never heard of that, but that's my name, so I had to look it up. Turns out it's named after a guy who failed to climb it. We must be related.

Listening to Ep 9. Space Palin made my day.

I relistened today, and it's referred to as a pirate radio broadcast, not a podcast - in my mind, these are two separate things, so that's why I was confused.
It's a future podcast. That's what podcasts will be called... in the year 2000.

Wait, now I'm confused, is Role Playing Public Radio a podcast or a radio station? And where are the pirates?

I totally need a job where I can listen to RPPR while I work.

Eclipse Phase ep 8 two hours 14 min

84
Yes, you are required to listen to it. It is epic (and no, I don't use that word to describe every lolcat or demotivational poster, so it actually means something in this case)

85
What would you have done if nobody asked to hear it?  :'(

86
I must know, was the rant by the guy who essentially podcasts 23 hours a day in your EP campaign written out or improvized?

I will be equally impressed either way.

Hi, I'm the guy that provided the transcript for the latest RPPR regular episode (which you can find here: http://subscriptorium.com/726/2samples/1rppr ) as a sample for possible participation in Subscriptorium's Transcript Partner Program, our very new effort to make transcripts available to podcasts at low prices or for free, with a profit-sharing scheme for ad revenue, in order to foment the transcription business, increase search engine visibility for multimedia content, and increase web accesibility (you can read more about it here: http://subscriptorium.com/partnership/subscriptorium-transcript-partner-program ).

I wanted to post here both to make you guys aware of this, and to ask your opinions. Do you like the idea of transcripts being available for this podcast, and why or why not? Maybe you know someone who has hearing problems or who just prefers to read content rather than listen to it, or maybe you can use it as an easily searchable reference when you're saying to yourself, what was that one thing I heard in that one episode?

And if you like these transcripts, would you like to see transcripts of the regular episodes, the APs, or both? When RPPR starts coming out with more video content, would you like to see closed captions made available?

Hope you guys find it helpful.
